Arsenal transfer news LIVE: Timber return hint, Arteta gives Saka injury update, Gunners ‘and Chelsea eye Osimhen’

  • Mbappe's THREE Real transfer demands

Kylian Mbappe has allegedly handed Real Madrid three transfer demands after ALREADY being dubbed the “most insufferable player in their history”.

The 25-year-old Mbappe is out of contract at Paris Saint-Germain this summer and reports have emerged that he has decided to join Real on a sensational free transfer.

The World Cup winner, who has 29 goals so far this campaign, could soon be lining-up in a star-studded attack with Brazilian Vinicius Jr and England star Jude Bellingham.

But despite technically being a free, Mbappe’s signing will not come cheap for Real with experts claiming he is set to earn MORE than Jude Bellingham’s entire £114m transfer fee with his signing-on bonus.

Now Cadena SER have claimed that the forward has made three staggering financial demands in order to complete the move.

The first starts with his eye-watering £42.6m per year salary - which is almost double the likes of Vinicius and Bellingham earned. Mbappe also allegedly wants a signing on bonus that is worth an incredible £106m. This report states that the huge fee would be split between the star and his mother and agent, Fayza Lamari.

And the third demand he is said to have made is that he retains a significant percentage of his image rights. The LaLiga giants usually prefer to retain the full rights of players.

  • Vieira future in doubt?

Arsenal could sell Fabio Vieira in the summer.

That's if reports tonight are true over the £34million Portuguese playmaker, who has struggled to earn regular starts.

Vieira could fall further down the pecking order if he stays next season - with Arteta tipped to spend big again to find a long-term partner for Declan Rice.

  • Partey 'ruled out of West Ham clash'

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has reportedly been ruled out of a comeback in this Sunday's Prem trip to West Ham.

Gunners' boss Mikel Arteta is keen to strengthen his options following recent injuries.

But Partey is still not fully fit, having pulled out of AFCON.

But Jorginho played so well in last Sunday's 3-1 defeat of Liverpool that he will expect to retain his place alongside Declan Rice.

  • Murphy in U-turn over Gunners

Danny Murphy confesses he was completely wrong about Arsenal’s title credentials.

The former England and Liverpool midfielder believed Mikel Arteta’s men would fade down the table following their early-season blitz.

Instead the Gunners have bounced back from a blip with three straight Prem wins, including 3-1 at home to Liverpool on Sunday.

Murphy told the BBC: “Well I, like many others, doubted whether Arsenal were going to be able to keep the pace with Liverpool and Manchester City.

“I shouldn’t have. I was wrong to doubt them. They’re a hell of a side.

“And if they play with that level of intensity and quality from now until the end of the season, they’ll be pushing.

“It was a brilliant first-half performance, and great game management late in the game. So many good things from them. Lots for Arsenal fans to be pleased about.”

  • Supercomputer predicts Champions League winner

A supercomputer has predicted that Manchester City are favourites to win the Champions League.

But Arsenal are also in with a shout, having been ranked above FOUR continental heavyweights.

Pep Guardiola’s City made history when they scooped their first-ever European title last season.

And a supercomputer from Opta reckons City could become the second team in the last three decades to successfully defend the Champions League.

That’s double the number of second-favourites Real Madrid, who have 15.7 per cent and are the only team to have won successive European Cups since AC Milan in 1990.

Serie A leaders Inter Milan are third in the table with a 12.1 per cent chance.

While Harry Kane’s Bayern Munich are fourth with 11.4 per cent.

And the top five is completed by Arsenal, who have been given a 6.8 per cent chance of winning their first-ever Champions League.

  • 'Jesus needs better service'

Arsenal have been told Gabriel Jesus is a major asset - but has received poor service.

Manchester United strike legend Dwight Yorke believes the Brazil frontman has been unfairly criticised.

Some pundits suggest Jesus lacks the goals and even the natural instincts of an out-and-out centre-forward.

But Yorke sees it very differently.

He told Premier League Productions: “I am a Jesus fan. I think he is such a good player.

"I just don’t think they give him the ball enough and in the right areas.

“He does all his good work away from the danger area. I think they have to work hard to get the ball to him.”

  • Fluminense 'waiting for Marquinhos medical

Arsenal's Brazilian winger Marquinhos could be close to joining home-country giants Fluminense.

That's based on a report from Trivela, who expect the 20-year-old to soon have a medical ahead of a loan move.

The Under-23 international is currently playing at the pre-Olympics CONMENBOL tournament with Brazil.

The suggestion is discussions will be ramped up after the event in Venezuela, which ends next week.

Marquinhos has had loan spells with Norwich and, this season, Nantes.

  • Prem boost as Osimhen is only Real's 'third-choice'

Premier League giants queueing up for Victor Osimhen might be delighted to hear the Napoli striker is only rated as Real Madrid's third-choice for a new striker this summer.

Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are reportedly Real's main targets.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are understood to have maintained an interest in the Nigeria hero Osimhen.

Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis expects to lose the 25-year-old at the end of the season to "Real Madrid, Paris St-Germain or an English club".

He added: "We've known all this since last summer, which is also why negotiations for the extension of his contract, although friendly, took so long." situation for at least a year."

  • Arsenal legend reveals fallout with Wenger

Arsene Wenger once dropped Ray Parlour because he headbutted a bar, the Arsenal icon has revealed.

Speaking to LuckyBlock.com, Parlour explained: "He [Wenger] wasn’t the sort of man to fall out with really.

"He’d leave you out though. I remember I got left out once because I think I went over the top a little bit in the week.

"I remember I headbutted a bar, believe it or not. I got tangled up in the stool, somehow headbutted the bar and he found out about it.

"He left me out for a game or so but he was such a nice man and he would always try to do the best for you.

"You’d run through a brick wall for him but I could argue I’d do it for any manager because I wanted Arsenal to be the best team they could be and I was an Arsenal fan."

  • Arsenal Women's League Cup clash postponed

Arsenal women's Continental Cup match against London City Lionesses has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

A statement from Arsenal read: "We regret to inform our supporters that tonight’s FA Women's Continental Tyres League Cup quarter-final against London City Lionesses has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

"The decision was made by match officials following a pitch inspection at 2:30pm.

"A rearranged date for the fixture will be communicated in due course. Ticket holders will be contacted directly by London City Lionesses."

  • Arsenal and United 'still interested in Amadou Onana'

Manchester United are tipped to show interest in Everton's Amadou Onana over the summer despite the emergence of Kobbie Mainoo.

Arsenal and Chelsea are also said to have maintained an interest in the Senegal anchorman.

United have question marks over 31-year-old Casemiro, while fellow midfielder Scott McTominay has beene linked with Newcastle.

And although academy product Mainoo, 18, has stepped up to the mark brilliantly, Old Trafford boss Erik ten Hag is expected to target at least one major new recruit in mid-pitch.

  • Rice 'a safe bet' for £105m

Michel Owen explained why Declan Rice and Virgil van Dijk top his list of best Prem signings based on transfer fee paid.

The former England hero said: “Declan cost a lot of money, but it was probably the safest bet you were going to get.

"He’s mentally very, very straightforward. Talented player. He has a history of playing and no injuries. He was used to the Premier League.

"He didn’t have to move, in terms of location and family. Very, very few question marks. There was very little risk with Rice, he was always going to give you 8 or 9 out of 10."

Owen added: "Van Dijk, of course, few question marks about him as well. He has just been one of the best signings of all time for Liverpool, let alone the Premier League.

"He has been one of the Premier League’s most incredible signings. He has exceeded anything that anybody could have expected."

  • Timber on his ACL recovery

Jurrien Timber has opened up about his road to recovery following his ACL injury.

The defender suffered the injury on the opening weekend of the Premier League season, but he hopes to come back stronger in the coming months.

He told Arsenal media: "Of course at some points it’s been difficult because you’re not playing, and that’s the thing you love to do.

"Sometimes you really want to join the team – when you are enjoying the game so much you really want to get down there and be part of it. That’s frustrating, because sometimes it looks so amazing you want to be part of it.

"But I use that as motivation during my recovery. I see the boys a lot, at the training ground but also at the games, and that’s been good for me too.

These months will definitely make me stronger. It’s an opportunity for me to do well. So even though I’m not playing, I can take this moment to become stronger mentally, physically, and also to feel at home with this group of boys.

"It’s an opportunity I’ve taken with both hands. I’ve had some more time to watch the team, see how we play, how I can fit in when I get on the pitch, so looking at the positives, I think there have been many."

  • Prem prize money revealed

Bottom-placed Southampton earned more in Premier League prize money last season than the title-winning 2015-16 Leicester City side.

The Saints were meekly relegated on just 25 points.

Despite their woeful season, they pocketed £103.6million in prize money. This was the smallest tally in the Prem last term, with 19th-placed Leeds grabbing £111.7m.

These figures are far smaller than the teams at the top of the league, with Manchester City earning £176.2m and Arsenal £172.2m.

Due to a remarkable growth in the prize pot, however, Saints' £103m sum was more than Leicester earned for winning the league seven-and-a-half years ago.

Claudio Ranieri's miracle boys were given £93.3m in prize money after claiming the title.

  • Toney to be SOLD this summer

Ivan Toney will likely be sold this summer, Brentford boss Thomas Frank has admitted.

The striker was heavily linked with a transfer last month, but the Bees received no formal bids for him.

However, Frank expects him to leave the Gtech Community Stadium this summer.

He told Danish magazine Tipsbladet: "It’s quite obvious that Ivan Toney will most likely be sold in the summer.

"This winter, we actually had no bids for him, but it would surprise me if there aren’t a lot of clubs interested in him."

Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea are among the clubs understood to be interested in signing him.

  • Legend names 'worst-ever' Arsenal kit

Ray Parlour has named the Arsenal third shirt from the 2014-15 season as the worst kit ever.

The Arsenal legend who is most famous for his time at the Emirates between 1992-2004 revealed what Gunners kit he disliked the most.

In an exclusive interview with LuckyBlock.com, Parlour said: "Puma made some good kits back in their day, but they had some bad ones as well. Some shockers. Do you know what always sticks out in my mind?

"It was the third kit in 2014/15. It was a light blue one. That wasn’t a great kit at all."

  • Odegaard hits back at criticism

Arsenal skipper Martin Odegaard has hit back at the Sky Sports pundits for their criticism over Mikel Arteta’s side’s post-match scenes, asking: When can we celebrate?

After the Gunners' 3-1 win over Liverpool on Sunday, Jamie Carragher commented: “Just get down the tunnel. You’ve won a game. It’s three points. They’re back in the title race, get down the tunnel. I’m serious, honestly.”

Manchester United legend Gary Neville later added: “The celebrations at the end were not of a team that thought they were going to go on and win the title.

“They were of a team that didn’t want to be out of the title race. It felt like relief they weren’t eight points behind. I have gone past the idea of having a go at players for celebrating, I just still think there is a little bit of immaturity in their celebrations.”

But Odegaard responded: “Everyone who loves football, who understands football, they know how much it means to win this game.

“And if you’re not allowed to celebrate when you win a game, when are you allowed to celebrate? We’re happy with the win and we’ll stay humble.

“We keep working hard and we prepare for the next one but of course you have to be happy when you win.”

  • Partey 'to leave Arsenal' in the summer

Arsenal are allegedly set to offload Thomas Partey this summer.

The 30-year-old midfielder moved to the Gunners in 2020 in a £45m deal from Atletico Madrid.

Partey recently jetted out to Dubai with the rest of Arsenal’s squad for a warm-weather training camp as he was finally given the green light to make his return.

However, he suffered another injury blow last week as boss Mikel Arteta revealed before their 3-1 victory over Liverpool that his ace is set to be out of action again.

Now the Daily Mirror has claimed that his days in North London appear to be over.

They report that “Partey is expected to leave Arsenal at the end of the season after failing to shake off persistent injury problems”.
