Arteta would leave Arsenal for Man Utd - Ferdinand
Rio Ferdinand has claimed Mikel Arteta would leave Arsenal for Manchester United if the Red Devils came knocking.
Ex-Man Utd defender Ferdinand, 45, watched his former club lose 2-1 at home to Fulham on Saturday, before Arsenal moved 14 point clear of them with a 4-1 win over Newcastle.
Yet he still believes his old side would be able to entice Arteta away from the Emirates.
Speaking on his FIVE YouTube channel, he said: "Mikel Arteta would leave Arsenal to join Man United, 100 per cent.
"No one is saying it’s happening but if Man Utd in a wild dream said, ‘do you know what, Erik ten Hag, thank you’ or Erik ten Hag has been poached by Bayern Munich, and he goes there, and then Man Utd say top of the list is Arteta, Arteta is going in and saying to the lads, ‘listen guys, it’s been emotional but I’ve got to move, I’ve got to go.'"
Saka not worried about Porto second leg
Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka has no concerns about their Champions League last-16 second leg against Porto.
The Gunners lost 1-0 in Portugal last week and will need to turn things around at the Emirates later this month.
But Saka is relishing the challenge.
He told beIN: "I'm not so worried, because we have special night awaiting at the Emirates, so I'm looking forward to that."
Arsenal keeping tabs on Palhinha
Arsenal still remain interested in Joao Palhinha, according to reports.
Football Insider claims the Gunners haven’t waned in their interest in the Portugal midfielder.
And they were handed a boost when a move to Bayern Munich failed to materialise in the January transfer window.
The report adds with Thomas Partey’s injury record, Mikel Arteta’s side could reignite their interest in the summer.
Premier League managers want rule change
TOP bosses are ready to push for managers to be treated the same as players — and only move clubs during transfer windows.
Some experienced Premier League chiefs want the League Managers Association to lobby for a change in rules on when sackings can be made.
Many feel that dismissals are too easy for clubs and believe it would be better if they could only be axed in the summer or in January.
One leading gaffer said: “Players have contracts and rules that mean they are not moved outside of the windows. It should be the same for us.”
The LMA has seen several members come and go this season as clubs find it simpler to ditch the man in the dugout, instead of failing players.
And while the EFL sees the biggest turnover, the Prem’s top guns could also join the fight.
Drogba admits he was an Arsenal fan
Didier Drogba has revealed he was an Arsenal supporter before he joined Chelsea.
YouTuber Sharky, a diehard Gunners fan, was quizzing Drogba about why he always scored against Arsenal before they took part in a charity match.
And it was during this interaction that the Blues legend confirmed he was an admirer of the North London outfit in the early 2000s.
But he then proceeded to mock Arsenal for not having won the Champions League.
Arteta celebrating Saka goal
Bukayo Saka all but sealed three points for Arsenal with the third goal in their 4-1 win over Newcastle on Saturday night.
Mikel Arteta was overcome with joy when the ball hit the back of the net.
Here is his immediate reaction to the goal...
