  • Moyes' Rice praise

David Moyes rates Arsenal superstar Declan Rice as a £150million player.

Sometimes you want to take credit but Mikel [Arteta] has done a great job with him. There were things that maybe Declan wasn’t as good at but I think he’s improved.

He hasn’t really surprised me but I do laugh because a couple of years ago people were saying, 'You’ll never get £100m for Declan'. I was saying, 'No, we’ll get £150m for him'.

I was telling West Ham to hold out for £150m and people were saying I was off my head. But I think if you look at some of the players who have come around that price, Dec’s surpassed them and looks above them.

I think £100m is looking quite cheap to be honest. He’s a top boy, everyone knows that. He conducts himself brilliantly well, on and off the field.

  • Marc Guehi price tag

Arsenal have been told how much they would have to splash for Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi.

According to The Telegraph, Palace would demand at least £65million with Guehi's contract up in 2026.

However, the Gunners face competition from Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United.

The centre-back is now a starter for England along with John Stones at Euro 2024.

  • Euro 2024 fixtures

    • Portugal vs Czech Republic
  • Euro 2024 results

    • Romania 3-0 Ukraine
    • Belgium 0-1 Slovakia
    • Austria 0-1 France
  • FT: Austria 0-1 France

Arsenal ace William Saliba has kicked his Euro 2024 campaign on the right foot with France beating Austria.

The Tricolores got the winner in the 38th minute following an own goal by Max Wober.

Kylian Mbappe fired a cross from the right and Wober inadvertently headed the ball to the back of his own net.

This proved to be a stressful victory for Didier Deschamps’ men as they couldn’t get a second to seal the three points and Austria came close to an equaliser on occasion.

  • Neville explains Sesko snub

Manchester United legend Gary Neville believes RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko will improve by staying in the Bundesliga.

Sesko appeared to be set for a move to the Gunners, only to sign a new contract with Leipzig.

He's got so much potential, you can see why Premier League clubs [want Sesko] and why he's staying at Leipzig for another year.

To grow without the spotlight that you'd have in the Premier League and develop your game a little bit more.

  • Benjamin Sesko blow

Arsenal have been dealt a transfer blow after it was firstly claimed that they “held the upper hand” in the chase for RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko.

The Gunners, Chelsea and Manchester United are all determined to strengthen their front line before the start of next season.

They all want Sesko - who has a release clause worth £55.3million - while Newcastle have also joined the long-list of suitors.

There is a belief that the North Londoners allegedly “hold the upper hand because they can offer Champions League football and stability”.

Those are two things the Slovenia international and his camp feel are “lacking at Chelsea and United”.

But “there is a very real possibility Sesko will opt to stay at Leipzig”.

The 24-year-old signed a new contract last summer after finishing the 2022-23 season strongly as an impact sub.

Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney told talkSPORT: "We’re talking to Arthur actively right now.

  • Arsenal should consider signing a wide forward to ease the strain on Bukayo Saka

Sports Journalist Ben Jacobs told GiveMeSport: "As far as wide forwards are concerned, it could be something that Arsenal look at because of the amount of minutes that Saka played last season.

"And also because he'll be coming off the Euros as well. So quite an intense summer leading into another busy season.

"But at the moment, the priority is in those other positions, a more central forward, a midfielder, and possibly also a young left-back."
