The Gunners are in talks to sign the Romania international, according to his agent.

  • Arsenal confident of White agreement

Arsenal are confident they can agree a new long-term deal with defender Ben White.

Talks with the 26-year-old have been progressing well, according to the Standard.

Although White is not out of contract until 2026, the Gunners are ready to reward him for his performances.

White has missed just one league match so far this term and has made 20 appearances across all competitions.

  • Tomiyasu set for new deal

Arsenal have opened talks with Takehiro Tomiyasu over a new deal for the defender.

The Japan international is currently out of contract at the end of next season.

According to The Athletic, the Gunners have made an offer to Tomiyasu and an agreement is expected soon.

The 25-year-old has made 18 appearances for Arsenal so far this season, scoring once.

  • Arsenal target Mbappe

Arsenal and Liverpool are both exploring the possibility of signing Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe, sensational reports say.

Mbappe’s current contract with PSG is set to expire in June, meaning he will become a free agent in the summer and is free to speak to other clubs in January.

According to the Daily Record, the Gunners and Liverpool are among potential suitors that could move for the star striker.

Both clubs are said to be “exploring the financial and sporting parameters involved” in signing the France international.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is eager to bring a new centre-forward to the Emirates as he looks to guide his team to their first Premier League title in 20 years.

The North Londoners have already been linked with a move for Brentford’s Ivan Toney and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen ahead of the January transfer window.

  • Next gen

Arsenal are in talks to sign Genoa defender Radu Dragusin, according to the player's agent.

However, two more top Premier League clubs are also in discussions with the centre-back's representatives.

Dragusin's agent, Florin Manea, said: "I have been in London for some time and have almost weekly meetings with important teams.

"We are getting closer. I spoke with Newcastle, with Arsenal, with Tottenham.

"I also have messages with them, conversations. There are teams that ask [about Dragusin]."

  • Wright price?

Ian Wright believes they “robbed” West Ham in the Declan Rice transfer deal - and he wants to give them MORE money.

The Gunners forked out a club-record £105m to sign the England international this summer.

Speaking on the latest episode of the Wrighty's House podcast after Arsenal’s 1-0 win at Brentford on Saturday, he said: “It’s the physicality and fluidity of him.

“He looks strong, we just look different with him. I love Martin (Odegaard) and he’s our captain and I’m very happy, absolutely delighted with that.

“But when you have a player who is eight or nine out of 10 every week, leading by example with everything that he does… you can’t help but think, 'That guy is a captain'.”

  • Car blimey

Jamie Carragher believes that Arsenal will not win the Premier League title.

The former Liverpool star thinks that the Gunners will fall short as their attacking players have not been as good this season.

He said: "We are only a third of the way through the season but if this is the Arsenal we are going to see this season I don't think they can win the league.

"So many games are going to the wire and sometimes they can go against you. Those 1-0 wins could easily be 1-0 defeats.

"There isn't the same pace and fluidity, creating chances and I don't think it is anything tactical. I am still seeing the same things from Arsenal.

"I just think individually the attacking players have been average whereas they were on fire last season.

"Martinelli, Saka, Jesus and Odegaard, who was up there with Kevin De Bruyne last season.

"I know he (Odegaard) has had some injury problems but the stats aren't great."

  • Gunns loaded

Arsenal reportedly had eight other names on their transfer wishlist before swooping to sign Kai Havertz.

The Athletic Football Podcast states that Havertz is highly-rated by everybody at his new club.

But Arteta and Gunners transfer chief Edu did have other targets in mind - including an England international.

It claims that Mason Mount, who also left Chelsea for Manchester United in a £60m move this summer, was one.

Experienced German star Ilkay Gundogan, who quit Manchester City to join Barcelona on a free transfer once his contract expired, was another.

Mohammed Kudus, the 23-year-old Ghana international, was also on the list and they were linked with him for several weeks throughout the transfer window.

He eventually ended up getting a move from Ajax to the Premier League when West Ham forked out £35m to sign him and has shone for the Hammers so far this season.

And the other person on that list is a man they have held a long-term interest in. That player is Inter Milan’s Nicolo Barella, 26, who has 51 caps for Italy.

  • What are Arsenal's Mikel Arteta song lyrics?

The lyric's to Arsenal's Mikel Arteta song are:

    "We've got super Mik Arteta,

He knows exactly what we need,

Kieran at the back, Gabi in attack,

Arsenal on our way to Champions League."

As well as Arteta, players Gabriel Martinelli and Kieran Tierney are mentioned.

  • Work of Art

An amazing photo of young Mikel Arteta with Premier League legend Xabi Alonso has gone viral.

Real Madrid could make a move for the Bayer Leverkusen coach to replace Carlos Ancelotti at the end of the season.

A viral photo shows both Spaniards Arteta, 41, and Alonso, 42, as kids when they played for San Sebastian side Antiguoko before they went their separate ways to pursue their senior careers.

The pair then met again in 2005 when Arteta joined the Premier League for Everton while Alonso was already in Merseyside at Liverpool.

Arteta then left the Toffees for Arsenal in 2011 where played until 2016 before he became the head coach in 2019.

Meanwhile, Alonso departed Anfield in 2009 and headed to the Spanish capital.

  • Gunner regret it

Tony Adams suggested that Arsenal would have won the league last year had Unai Emery been in charge of the club.

Speaking to TalkSPORT, he said: "I love him [Arteta]. I love his passion and enthusiasm. I’ve always said he’s a little bit inexperienced and perhaps needs to draw on someone in his staff who is a little more experienced.

“I’m talking about going across the line last season. We all make mistakes and aren’t perfect. He perhaps didn’t rotate players early enough last season.

"People were running out of steam, like Bukayo Saka. I think he’s doing great. Last year, weirdly if Unai Emery was our manager then we could have perhaps won the league.

“I know he didn’t stick around and following Arsene Wenger was difficult, a bit like George Graham being followed by Bruce Rioch.

“I think he missed a few bits last season to get us over the line.”

  • Fine form

Arsenal enter the Wolves match fresh off the back of a 6-0 victory over Lens in mid-week.

The Gunners were 5-0 up at half time and were able to rest several key players in the second half of the game.

They'll enter the game buoyed as well as well-rested as they look to sustain their title charge this season.

Wolves were desperately unlucky last time out against Fulham, falling to a last gasp Willian penalty to lose 3-2, which was only awarded after VAR intervention.

In their game previous to that they shocked Tottenham to win 2-1 despite trailing 1-0 as they entered added time.

  • Work of Art

Mikel Arteta highlighted the importance of Arsenal keeping a clean sheet in their 6-0 thrashing over Lens.

He said: “Yes, because you can become really sloppy and there were parts in the second half that you start to see different behaviours, but I think the team is really focused.

“I think we haven’t conceded a goal in the Champions League at home and scored 12, so it’s good stats.”

  • January sales

Arsenal will allow Aaron Ramsdale to leave the club at the end of the season.

But the Gunners will not let Ramsdale depart in the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old has fallen behind David Raya in the battle to be the North Londoners’ No1.

According to 90min, the goalkeeper is open to leaving the Emirates on loan in January.

Arsenal are not keen to lose the England international midseason but are open for a deal in the summer.

Bukayo Saka wrote himself into the Champions League history books with a stunning performance against Lens.

The Gunners ran riot in the first-half, scoring five goals.

Saka tapped home the third of the game from close range after setting up Gabriel Jesus for the second following a mazy run into the box.

The winger made history with his fantastic display, joining an elite club with Karim Benzema and Luis Suarez.

He became just the third player since Champions League records began to score and assist in three consecutive home games.

  • Lu bet they are

Arsenal are still keeping tabs on Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz ahead of the January transfer window.

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reports Luiz is still top of the Gunners’ transfer wishlist.

The midfielder notched an assist as Villa defeated Spurs 2-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.

However, the Villans are dead against selling the Brazil international.

  • Gunner go for it

Arsenal are looking to build on Wednesday's stunning 6-0 rout of Lens in the Champions League with victory against Wolves on Saturday.

Gary O'Neil's Wolves are coming off the back of a dispiriting 3-2 loss to Fulham on Monday night, where they were on the wrong end of two controversial penalty calls.

Victory for Arsenal would see the Gunners extend their lead at the top of the table, at least for 24 hours.

The Gunners are currently one point ahead of Manchester City going into the weekend, as they look to go one better than they did last year and win the league.

With City playing on Sunday evening against Tottenham, Gunners fans may find themselves in the odd position of cheering Spurs on that night.

Victory against Wolves would open up a four point gap at the top of the table on their nearest rivals.

  • Eight to say it

Arsenal had eight other names on their transfer wishlist before swooping for Kai Havertz last summer.

According to The Athletic, Havertz is highly-rated by everybody at the Emirates but the Gunners’ manager Mikel Arteta and sporting director Edu did have other targets in mind.

Among them were Manchester United’s Mason Mount, Barcelona’s Ilkay Gundogan, West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus and Inter Milan’s Nicolo Barella.

However, the North Londoners opted to swoop for the Germany international from Chelsea.

  • Ram raid

Aaron Ramsdale and his dad were up to mischief as the two were caught "stealing" decorations from Arsenal's Christmas tree.

Hilarious footage has been revealed of the pair jokingly taking an ornament as they left the Gunners' ground.

Ramsdale has faced a difficult start to this term having failed to make an impression in Mikel Arteta's squad.

Since the arrival of David Raya, the two shot-stoppers have been battling it out for the No1 shirt.

And the English keeper has fallen short on many occasions to snub the starting spot.

But to lift his spirit the 25-year-old and his dad amusingly took one of the ornaments from Arsenal's festive tree.

  • Thierr's for fears

Thierry Henry's wholesome response to being asked his biggest fear left his fellow pundits emotional.

The Arsenal legend was on CBS Sports with Jamie Carragher, Micah Richards, Clint Dempsey and host Kate Abdo.

Ahead of last night's Champions League action, they all took part in a question and answer session.

Abdo quizzed the panel on what their worst fear is, with Richards revealing he hates the turbulence on planes.

Dempsey said he is scared of sharks and Carragher joked he has nightmares about trying to defend against Henry back in the day.

But the mood was swiftly changed by the Frenchman as he admitted his heart-warming fear.

  • Partey stopper

Arsenal ace Thomas Partey could leave the Emirates as early as January.

According to ESPN, Partey’s future is “uncertain” after a string of injuries.

The Gunners are said to be considering the midfielder’s status and could pull the trigger after the New Year.

The Ghana international would have been allowed to leave in the summer had a suitable bid come in.

But now the North Londoners are more willing to move on the 30-year-old in the winter.

Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz is being touted as a possible replacement for Partey.

Bukayo Saka celebrated his five-year anniversary of his first-team debut with a stunning display against Lens.

Manager Mikel Arteta said: "Yeah, he was brilliant again.

"It’s the consistency that he’s shown, you know, what he’s achieved today, what he’s doing.

"It’s extremely difficult, it’s the way he prepares himself and obviously his quality, and the good teammates that he’s got around him."

  • Arsenal's Champions League Group

Arsenal have snatched first place in their Champions League group and are through to the Last 16:

    Arsenal 12pts
    PSV 8pts
    Lens 5pts
    Sevilla 2pts

  • Raise the Tone

Gabriel Agbonlahor urged Arsenal to "go all out" for Brentford star Ivan Toney in the January transfer window.

Make it happen, Ivan Toney, somehow with the finances make it happen. I’d go all out for him.

I look at [Bukayo] Saka and [Gabriel# Martinelli, you’ve got [Leandro] Trossard when he comes in he does so well.

“[Martin] Odegaard looked very good last night, so I think they just need that striker, really go and get Ivan Toney

    Gabriel Agbonlahor
  • More from Walcott

Arsenal hero Theo Walcott claims manager Mikel Arteta might have to decide whether he wants to prioritise the Premier League or the Champions League.

I think it’s really interesting, because Arsenal haven’t been in the Champions League for a few years, but I do feel a lot of teams will fear playing this team.

I think at some point this season Mikel might have to make a decision about what he wants to prioritise, because I can see Arsenal being right in contention until the end of the season, and it might be a case of deciding which one he wants to go for.

It’s going to be interesting, but there’s no doubt the club are moving the right way under Mikel, and it’s looking really exciting.
