Mikel Arteta was full of praise for Jorginho's hard work on and off the field.
He said: "Unbelievable. I’ve always said that he’s an example, a role model. He’s been in a lot of pain as well, because he has an issue that he’s been carrying for months.
"He didn’t want to stop, he’s been playing with that, he’s been training as the first one in and the last one out, and for all the kids, for everybody at the club, you want to look in the mirror at somebody, just look at him and how he behaves.
"He’s won everything, and if you ask him not to play, or to play one minute like last week, he’s happy to go there. You ask him to play 98 minutes at the rhythm and he’s able to do that, so I’m really lucky to have players like this."
While Oleksandr Zinchenko was forced off at half-time.
After the game, Mikel Arteta spoke about their injuries.
"With Gabby we expect it to be something about days, and with Alex we don’t know because he had some feeling in his calf again and we had to take him off," he said.
Mikel Arteta couldn't hide his jubilation - running down the the touchline after Arsenal sealed the win with Leandro Trossard's late goal.
Speaking about his celebration, he joked: "You can see that I can still sprint!
“I realise I was going to get booked so I started to turn around immediately because I want to be next to the team.
"It was an incredible game, one that I will remember especially for the way it happened and for the emotions that we felt during the game. I’m going to have a beautiful dinner tonight."
Virgil Van Dijk took the blame for a shocking defensive cock-up as Arsenal blew the title race wide open.
Van Dijk said after Sunday's 3-1 loss: “It’s a very tough day. I take full responsibility for Martinelli’s goal as that was a turning point in the match and I should have done better.
"It’s a split decision and I chose to let the ball bounce, try and put my body in between, Alisson touched me a little bit and that’s why he couldn’t clear it properly.
“It hurts and it hurts for the rest of the team — but especially for me. It was a big turning point.
“These things have not happened too many times in my career but I will recover as I learn from things that don’t go well.”
Jorginho has reflected on a 'special day' and thanked the fans for their involvement in the win over Liverpool.
“It was a special day,” he told Arsenal's club website.
“The supporters, they were behind us and we could feel it and it was just an amazing, amazing football match and an amazing day for us.
“It was really hard work, if we didn’t do that - we couldn’t win for sure. We knew we had to push the limit to beat them because they are a great team and that’s what we did and I think we deserved the win.”

Deservedly in the lead, Arsenal were cruising into half-time thinking they should be further in front.
Instead, they are all level thanks to a bizarre own goal from Gabriel that came from absolutely nothing. William Saliba did not paint himself in the best light either.
As soon as that goal went in, the atmosphere - which had been amazing up until then - sunk.
Liverpool have been thoroughly outplayed but did begin to get a bit more possession under their belts towards the end of the half.
Jurgen Klopp will most certainly make some tweaks to get back into this one, and Mikel Arteta will have to be aware of that in his own half time rousing pep talk.
You get the feeling Arsenal cannot sit back now. They have to continue in the same blitzing, barn-storming, end-to-end fashion and push for a second.
Either way, the next goal could go a long way to deciding who will be in this fascinating title race until the very end.
Arsenal face their biggest test of the season, a defining one that could make or break their title charge, and Gabriel Jesus is NOT in the squad.
The Brazilian played through a knee injury at the City Ground, scoring the opener as the Gunners beat Nottingham Forest 2-1, but it has come at a cost.
Mikel Arteta revealed post-match that Jesus had some fluid on his knee two days before the Forest clash yet the medics were fine to see him start and play for 78 minutes.
It means Kai Havertz leads the line for Arsenal for the first time in the Premier League and the third time this season in all competitions.
the other occasions coming in the FA Cup defeat to Liverpool on January 7 and the Community Shield in August.
Eddie Nketiah is on the bench – a decision that will leave the young Englishman questioning his own future in North London. If he does not get a start now, then when?
Elsewhere, Jorginho is in midfield to bring some control to proceedings, while Ben White and Oleksandr Zinchenko start at full-back having had their spat on the pitch at Forest.
