Chelsea have reportedly agreed a sensational £42million deal to sign Jhon Duran from Aston Villa.

Stunning reports from the striker’s native Colombia claim the Blues have struck a fee after previously targeting Duran in January.

The 20-year-old is said to be pushing for the Stamford Bridge switch. And he is already reckoned to be in contract talks with Chelsea as a move intensifies.

Duran only joined Villa 18 months ago from MLS outfit Chicago Fire. He’s netted eight goals in 49 games at Villa Park.

And Duran was the subject of strong interest from Chelsea in January.

The Blues opted against a winter move despite Armando Broja’s Fulham loan and Christopher Nkunku’s latest injury setback.

But Colombian outlet En La Jugada RCN claims a deal to take Duran to London is finally in the making. Villa are said to have accepted a deal worth £42m for the young forward.

  • Utd face shock Mainoo approach

Manchester United could face a cheeky summer bid for their new star midfielder Kobbie Mainoo.

Barcelona are reportedly prepared to put up a player plus cash deal approach for the 19-year-old.

Mainoo surged into the England squad for the Euros after earning a regular United spot in the second half of the season.

TEAMtalk say cash-strapped Barca could offer £8.5million plus ex-Leeds winger Raphinha.

  • Gunners' target Nico rated at £42m

Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams is reportedly still interesting Arsenal.

The 14-cap Spaniard, 21, who is in Germany for Euro 2024, is also being eyed by other top clubs.

But it’s claimed the Gunners are now ready to target attacking widemen like Williams as well as a new main striker.

He has a release clause of around 50million euros (£42.1m).

Bilbao are said to be readying for his possible exit by targeting Alvaro Djalo of Portuguese top-flight club Braga.

  • Utd & Chelsea losing Olise race

Crystal Palace’s winger Michael Olise could be heading for Chelsea.

Manchester United and City, plus Arsenal and Liverpool, have been linked with the 22-year-old, who surprisingly missed out on a place in France’s Euro 2024 squad.

But GiveMeSport say Chelsea are posed to clinch a£60million deal for one of the Eagles’ much-attacking starlets.

  • Red Devils hope Evans stays

Jonny Evans is reportedly being urged by Manchester United to sign a new one-year deal.

Last summer’s surprise re-signing from Leicester, now 36, ended up playing 30 games in defence.

The Northern Ireland star is out of contract.

But United fancy keeping him, partly due to a limited budget for new signings.

  • Sesko snubs Prem clubs

Arsenal have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Benjamin Sesko as the striker has decided to stay at RB Leipzig, according to Fabrizio Romano.

He wrote on X: “Benjamin Sesko has decided to STAY at RB Leipzig and sign new contract on improved terms!

“Decision made for talented striker, similar to what Haaland decided back in the days at BVB.

“Sesko will stay at Leipzig with a new gentlemen agreement for future exit.”

  • Red Devils Eze up the hunt

Manchester United are reportedly ready to step up their interest in Eberechi Eze.

Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester City and Barcelona have also been mentioned in connection with Crystal Palace's England midfielder.

It's claimed the 25-year-old “ticks a lot of boxes” for INEOS.

But Palace will demand his £60million release clause.

And the Eagles still hope to keep some of their star flair players like Ez and Michael Olise.

  • Juve linked with Kiwior

Juventus are tipped to come in for Jakub Kiwior.

Arsenal signed the versatile Poland defender from new Juve boss Thiago Motta's old club Spezia in January 2023.

And Tuttomercato claim the Gunners would consider selling the 24-year-old for around £17million - £3m less than the fee they paid.

Kiwior is gearing up for Poland's Euro 2024 group opener against Holland on Sunday.

  • Walcott wants Watkins or Isak at the Emirates

Walcott has urged his former club to sign either Alexander Isak and Ollie Watkins this summer.

He said: “What we are missing is a striker, and to have that balance on the bench.

“I’m looking at someone like an Isak or an Watkins who’s been established in the Premier League.”

Liverpool are also reportedly targeting Watkins, who came joint fifth in goals scored in the Prem last season – alongside Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke.

  • Williams back on Gunners’ radar

Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams is reportedly still interesting Arsenal.

The 14-cap Spaniard, 21, who is in Germany for Euro 2024, is also being eyed by other top clubs.

But it’s claimed the Gunners are now ready to target attacking widemen like Williams as well as a new main striker.

He has a release clause of around 50million euros (£42.1m).

Bilbao are said to be readying for his possible exit by targeting Alvaro Djalo of Portuguese top-flight club Braga.

  • United baulk at Jarrad asking price

Manchester United are tipped to cool interest in Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite if the asking price stays at £70million-plus.

Old Trafford minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly unwilling to spend so big on the England 21-year-old.

United have been assessing a range of cheaper options in central defence - one of their transfer options.

And Branthwaite is focused on the Euros for now.

  • Villa in £50m Douglas exit talks

Juventus are in advanced talks with Aston Villa as they look to thrash out a near £50million deal to sign Douglas Luiz, writes GRAEME BRYCE.

But the move is a complex one with USA midfielder Weston McKennie and English winger Samuel Iling Junior heading in the opposite direction.

The Italian giants are desperate to do business after new boss Thiago Motta targeted the Brazilian midfielder as a priority signing.

However, Villa are trying to box clever as they look to balance the books to satisfy tough Profit and Sustainability Rules.

Manager Unai Emery admitted the club had to "be intelligent," in their transfer dealings this summer, after running up a £119million loss in their last accounts - a Uefa record for the season.

It's understood Villa need to raise at least £60million before the end of this month or face a potential points deduction next season. Luiz is believed to have a £60m buy-out clause but Juventus weren't willing to go that high to trigger it.

Instead they are close to finalising a complex three-way deal which could see Villa pocket around £47million for the midfielder - while buying McKennie and Iling Junior for a combined fee of £30million.

  • Teun for the worse could hit Liverpool

Teun Koopmeiners withdrawing from Holland's squad could also be a transfer blow for Liverpool.

The Atalanta midfielder, 26, has been rated a prime target for new Liverpool chief Arne Slot.

    Credit: Getty

But a muscle injury has ruled him out of Euro 2024.

So that could delay or complicate any approach to his Italian club.

The Holland squad, bossed by ex-Everton manager Ronald Koeman, already includes three Liverpool players in Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo and Ryan Gravenberch.

  • Bayern close on Gunners' whizkid

Arsenal 16-year-old Chido Obi-Martin could have moved a step nearer joining Bayern Munich.

It's claimed the Germans are in talks over nabbing the prolific Danish Under-17 striker.

Obi-Martin bagged 32 goals in 18 Premier League 2 games in the academy this season.

And his form since march in particular has been stunning.

  • Gunners' legend speaks out on Guimaraes link

Ray Parlour has given his verdict on reports linking Arsenal to Newcastle's £100million-rated Bruno Guimaraes.

Gunners' boss Mikel Arteta is thought to want a long-term midfield partner for Declan Rice.

    Credit: Rex

But although Parlour is a big fan of Guimaraes, the ex-England midfielder is unsure if the 26-year-old would slot in tactically at the Emirates.

Speaking to Football FanCast for NetBet Casino, he said: "I like him as a player, he is very strong and has been a big part in the improvement that Newcastle have made under Eddie Howe.

"I’m not sure he fits into the Arsenal team as we have Declan Rice and Guimaraes is that little bit more offensive than where Arsenal needs to strengthen.

"If (Thoas) Partey moves on then Arsenal may go for a more efficient player than Guimaraes, so I’m not 100% sure Arteta will look to pursue him.”

  • Red Devils draw up 3-man strike wishlist

Manchester United have a three-man shortlist of striker targets, reports say.

ESPN report United's wishlist includes Ivan Toney, Jonathan David and Joshua Zirkzee.

Both Toney and David are set to enter the final year of their contracts at Brentford and Lille respectively. However, Brentford are still set to demand £50million for England star Toney, the report adds.

Meanwhile, Zirkzee's Bologna contract includes a £34million release clause this summer.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding Erik ten Hag's future, United are pushing ahead with their transfer business. The club are keen to add a striker, with Rasmus Hojlund the only senior centre-forward at Old Trafford.

Anthony Martial is set to leave on a free transfer at the end of the month, whilst United and Arsenal have missed out on Benjamin Sesko as the Slovenian is expected to pen a new deal with RB Leipzig.

Toney scored four goals in 17 Premier League appearances for Brentford last term after returning from his betting ban, earning him a place in the Three Lions squad for Euro 2024.

As for David, only Kylian Mbappe scored more than his 19 Ligue 1 goals for Lille. Zirkzee scored 11 and added five assists in a slightly deeper role for Bologna as they qualified for the Champions League.

  • United 'lead Gunners and Milan over Zirkzee'

Manchester United could well have leapt to the front of the queue for Arsenal-linked striker Joshua Zirkzee.

The Red Devils are reportedly in contact with the agent of Bologna's former Holland Under-21 star.

TEAMtalk suggest United are keen to get ahead of AC Milan in the race for the 23-year-old.

Zirkzee is likely to leave this summer if his release clause of €40m (£33.7m) is met.

  • Juventus steal march on Prem clubs in fight for Villa ace

Juventus are reportedly in advanced talks over landing Arsenal linked Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa.

It's understood the Gunners were interested in potentially swapping England midfielder Emile Smith Rowe for the Brazilian.

But now it's thought Luiz could move outside the Premier League.

The main reason for that is Juve pondering offers for Villa pair Weston McKennie and Samuel Iling-Junior.

That interest is separate to their interest in Luiz.

But the potential deals might still be become bargaining chips.

  • Arsenal eye exciting young winger

Arsenal could decide to move for Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams this summer, as per The Evening Standard.

The Gunners are looking to improve their firepower having been linked to a number of strikers.

Williams is also of interest, but his wages could prove a stumbling block.

  • United eye Serie A talent

Joshua Zirkzee is emerging as one of Manchester United's primary transfer targets this summer, according to Sky Sports.

The 23-year-old has a £34m release clause in his contract and is one of several strikers United are doing due diligence on ahead of the transfer window opening on Friday.

Arsenal and AC Milan remain interested in Zirkzee, who has two years left on his contract.

  • Man Utd and Arsenal want midfielder

Manchester United are considering a swoop for Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana, according to The Athletic.

The Red Devils are looking to revam their midfield with Casemiro likely to leave, and they like the look of Fofana, who has played for France 18 times.

Arsenal have also sent scouts to watch the 25-year-old according to Fabrizio Romano.

  • Arsenal eye Sesko alternative

Arsenal could now focus on Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee after Benjamin Sesko decided to stay at RB Leipzig.

It is said that the Netherlands U21 international has a £34m release clause written into his contract with the Serie A side – although Arsenal face strong competition from AC Milan.

Zirkzee helped Bologna qualify for the Champions League with 12 goals this season.

  • Sporting set Inacio asking price

Manchester United and Liverpool are interested in Sporting defender Goncalo Inacio this summer, but the Portuguese side will not entertain any offers below his £50.5m release clause.

A Bola report that Manchester United are the ‘main interested party’ in his signature this summer, but Liverpool also have Inacio firmly on their radar.

Sporting are keen to keep hold of one of their key players but are well aware of the pulling power of the Premier League and know a sale is likely inevitable at some stage.

However, they will not let the defender go cheaply and will not even enter into negotiations until an offer of at least £50.5m, the value of his release clause, is made.
