Manchester City are aware of interest in Matheus Nunes from Atletico Madrid.
However, the Premier League champions have yet to make a decision on his future, according to ESPN.
Nunes arrived at the Etihad Stadium from Wolves last summer on a deal through until 2028.
During his first season he made 29 appearances but has been limited to just 28 minutes across two cameos off the bench so far this term.

Fellowes bid
Ipswich have made an £11million bid for West Brom winger Tom Fellows.
The England under 20 international has also attracted interest from Southampton, Leicester and Everton, with West Brom's financial problems meaning they may be forced to sell.
Fellows was outstanding in creating both goals for West Brom's in their 2-1 win over Stoke last weekend leaving the club with a dilemma ahead of deadline day on Friday.
Head coach Carlos Corberan wants to keep hold of Fellows, but has had his hands tied in the transfer market all summer.
West Brom are being forced to follow an EFL business plan due to previous overspending and cashing in on Fellows would give Corberan more room for manouvre during the winter window.
West Brom have signed nine new players this summer, but Corberan was forced to sell before buying with 16 players leaving the Hawthorns and the club making a trading profit of £4.6m.
Reports in Italy are claiming that Roma are looking to sell former Chelsea star Tammy Abraham.
The 26-year-old striker had an excellent first season in the Italian capital, scoring 27 goals, but has fired in just 10 goals in 66 appearances in the two seasons since.
West Ham are linked, although they have already bought a new striker in Niclas Fullkrug this summer.
Ivan Toney is being strongly linked with a move to Brentford's west London rivals Chelsea.
But the England striker, 28, has a decision to make as the Blues will not be able to offer him close to the wages he is being offered by Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli.
Chelsea are said to now be working under a strict wage structure that means Toney would be leaving millions of pounds on the table.
Blues boss Enzo Maresca is desperate to land an established No 9.
Brighton have announced the signing of Ferdi Kadioglu from Fenerbahce.
The Turkish full-back, 24, has penned a four-year deal with the Seagulls after reports had linked him with moves to both Man Utd and Arsenal in the past.
Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler said: "I'm very excited because we are getting an excellent player and a great character. He has great ability, is a strong runner and very good at passing."
Adding: “He is someone who is very keen to learn and develop, and with that in mind I’m confident he will adjust to the Premier League and adapt quickly to English football.”
Kadioglu was presented to the crowd at the Amex ahead of Brighton's EFL Cup win over Crawley tonight.
Three Premier League clubs are eyeing a late move for Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
That's according to Caught Offside, who report that Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle are all monitoring the striker’s situation as a possible cut-price option before Friday’s deadline.
Calvert-Lewin managed seven goals in 32 Premier League appearances last season.
Chelsea have enquired about Brentford’s Ivan Toney.
Enzo Maresca is desperate for an established Prem No.9 to lead the line for Chelsea this season and has made a late surge to snatch the Bees star away from West London.
Toney, 28, has already agreed personal terms with Saudi Super League outfit Al Ahli but a transfer fee is still being negotiated with Brentford demanding £50m.
Chelsea are confident they can match that evaluation for Toney – who has one year left on his Brentford contract and has been left out of their opening two Prem games this term.
However, Toney would have to accept a significantly lower wage packet than the one being offered by Al Ahli to make the switch to Stamford Bridge.
Under American owner Todd Boehly, Chelsea have a strict new wage structure, with the average weekly deal for new signings between £60k and £70k with incentivised bonuses.
