I married the man who used to babysit me at four years old – people say it’s disgusting but it’s only a 15-year age gap
A WOMAN has had to defend her marriage after revealing she met her husband when he was 19 and she was just four years old.
Samantha Gizzle met her partner when he started to babysit her as a tot - but their relationship developed when she turned 18.
Taking to social media, she hopped on the trend of using 'When We Were Young' by Adele to reveal her age gap relationship.
In the clip the couple first can be seen back in their former days with her partner Johnathan, then 19, holding four year old Samantha in her arms.
The next image showed the pair on their wedding day now aged 44 and 29.
"You were the best babysitter ever," she captioned the post.

"I’m glad we could look past age and take this new chapter in our life, together."
"You make me so happy, make me smile, make me laugh, and this makes me unconditionally love you more & more.. and I hope the best for us and our future family to come."
However, it seemed not everyone was a fan of how the couple met and haters soon took to the comments of the video to share their thoughts.
One wrote: "when WE were young?? YOU were young HE was grown."
Another penned: "THAT IS SICKKKK."
Hitting back at the haters, Samantha said Gen-Zers need a reality check on age gap relationships.
She also confirmed nothing happened between the pair until they were both consenting adults.
She wrote: "Can't believe I have to make this video.
"It saddens my heart that Gen-Z is brainwashed into thinking age gaps are bad.
"PSA: THEY AREN'T!! We are together.. happy and safe and nothing happened during the time he was my baby sitter. He WAITED until I turned 18!
"And nothing happened anytime before that point blank PERIOD! Stop trying to make my family/husband look bad. We will remain together and that's that."
The clips posted on her TikTok account @gsamantha1994 have since gone viral with over 4million views and 100k likes.
But it seemed people weren't upset by the 15-year age gap between the couple, rather that he used to babysit her.
One person wrote: "No bc, my teacher has 10 year age gap with his wife, they met when they were in their 20’s NOT WHEN ONE OF THEM WAS 4..?"
Another commented: "Girl, it is not only "gen z"... no one thinks age gaps are bad - if you met later in life. 4 and 19 is not normal."
"My parents have a 10 year age gap but they met during late 30's and 40's this isn't the same thing," penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: "I have a few years less age gap marriage but we met when I was in my late 20’s - there is a huge difference knowing each other that young!"
