‘Mom, you can’t wear crop tops,’ my teen tells me – but all the cool kids are doing it, I wear what I want
EVEN though her daughter didn't think her outfit was appropriate, a mom refused to change.
She said that when it came to fashion, she wears what she wants to when she wants to.
Amber (@amberaug) shared the video with over 75,000 TikTok followers.
She stood in her kitchen as she showed off her outfit for the day.
The spunky parent sported a black crop top with a pair of ripped jeans, a flannel, and sneakers.
Although Amber was perfectly content with the outfit, her daughter had a lot to say about it.
Amber recalled the comments the embarrassed teenager dished out.
"Teen: Mom you can't wear crop tops..." she said.
Amber didn't seem to think there was a problem with the way she dressed.
"Me: All the cool kids are doing it..." she said.
"This is my outfit for today. If you don't like it, you can leave. Okay, love you!"
People were proud of her for standing up for herself, even if it was against her own daughter.
Many didn't think that fashion should be restricted to age.
"You're the hottest momma," said one commenter.
