Coronation Street fans fear death twist for beloved character after shock crash
CORONATION Street fans are predicting a horror death twist after Simon Barlow crashed his car with Sam Blakeman in the backseat.
The waiter - who is played by actor Alex Bain in the ITV soap - was asked to drive his stepbrother to a chess competition but insisted he was too busy.
Nick flew off the handle at Simon’s excuses causing Toyah to step in and convince him that he needed to do it.
She has no idea that Simon had been up half the night drinking heavily with Bobby.
After getting in the car, Simon was struggling to concentrate with Sam wittering and causing a disturbance in the back.
As he tried to help Sam pick up his papers, he veered out of control and crashed the car into a bollard.

With the car smashed up and knowing he was over the limit, Simon decided to flee the scene.
“Right, out, come on,” Simon said as he ordered Sam out and home.
Back at home, Sam was feeling unwell but insisted he was fine, and Simon made up an excuse about it being a small bump.
But when she told him they had to go and get the car and call the police, Simon finally admitted the truth - that he was under the influence.
In a shock move Leanne decided to cover it up to Nick, who let Sam go to the cafe with Roy.
However at the cafe it was clear that Sam wasn’t as well as he appeared.
Roy tried to get him to drink his milkshake but Sam told him: “It’s making me feel a bit sick.”
The scene has left fans concerned that Sam is seriously injured after the crash.
