Divorce shock for beloved Coronation Street couple as love triangle takes explosive turn
TENSIONS have been high between two married characters on the cobbles and they seem to have reached a point of no return.
Next week, half of the couple seems to have already moved on and found herself a new partner in Coronation Street.
Divorce is evidently round the corner for Sarah and Adam Barlow (respectively portrayed by Tina O'Brien and Sam Robertson).
Heartbroken after his wife's affair with Damon Hay (Ciarán Griffiths), Adam tried to get rid of the criminal once and for all but he was equally devastated when learning that Sarah was pregnant with his rival's baby.
Unfortunately for Adam, getting rid of Damon is no easy feat and the villain made his way back to the cobbles in recent scenes aired on ITV.
Damon himself tried to get Adam out of his way but his plan was eventually turned on its head and, next week, he focuses on rekindling his romance with Sarah.
More Corrie
Coming up, having spent the night together and clearly loved up, Sarah invites Damon to join her family for a drink later on.
Damon agrees, but asserts that he must pay his brother Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) a visit first.
As Sarah and Damon head out of Redbank, Adam watches, consumed with rage.
Damon visits Harvey in prison and makes it clear that if he pulls any more stunts, he’s dead meat.
Harvey retaliates with a threat regarding Sarah causing Damon to lose his temper.
As the guards drag him away, Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) has clocked their exchange from across the room.
Later on, Damon joins Sarah and her family in the bistro and her grandmother Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls), mother Gail Platt (Helen Worth) and half-brother Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) make their disapproval known.
Adam then storms over, telling Sarah he knows about Damon’s prison visit and doesn’t want him anywhere near Harry.
