Coronation Street pulled off air tonight in ITV schedule shake-up – leaving fans livid
CORONATION Street has been pulled off air tonight in an ITV schedule shake-up - leaving fans livid.
The soap usually airs for one hour on a Friday from 8pm until 9pm.
But this week, tonight's episode has been removed from the schedules because of the football.
The FA Cup enters the third round and the match airing tonight will see Tottenham Hotspur take on Burnley.
Coverage starts from 7.30pm with the match kicking off at 8pm, and it means Coronation Street had to air its quota of episodes earlier in the week.
Soap fans got three one-hour episodes on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week to make up for the fact it won't be on tonight.

But some weren't happy, with one writing on X: "no #Corrie http://tonight.Football instead."
Another had tweeted earlier in the week: "What's #Corrie doing on today? not more rugby, football whatever."
Unfortunately, Corrie fans face further disruption next week too, as Monday's episode has been rescheduled for Wigan Athletic's FA Cup third round match against Manchester United.
Once again, coverage starts at 7.30pm ready for the 8pm kick off, and hour long episodes will air on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday instead.
However, Emmerdale fans can breathe a sigh of relief, as tonight's half an hour episode is set to air at it's usual time of 7.30pm.
And the ITV soap has avoided disruption on Monday too unlike it's stable-mate as it will air at 7.30pm.
Coronation Street airs on ITV1 and is available on ITVX.
