I’m a makeup artist – my tips will lift your mature face & make it look fuller, a $24 Sephora item blends fine lines
IF your skin is on the more mature side, it may be time to ditch your traditional beauty buys for a more flattering product.
A professional makeup artist has revealed the tricks he uses to add volume to an older face.
In his video, Vincent Ford (@vincent.ford) demonstrated each step of his mature beauty process on a model.
"When I’m working with mature skin and my model is over 70 I like to use cream products, they blend so much easier and they don’t go into the fine lines like powders do," the TikToker explained.
For his first step, he recommended giving your face a more defined shape with the $24 Milk Makeup Sculpt Cream Contour Stick, which is available at Sephora.
"I’m placing it high up on the cheekbone to lift it and then along the jawline just to give her more definition here," he said.
"Just really use it in the areas that you want to define more and brush up.
"Don’t brush down with the contour, make sure you’re lifting, everything needs to go in an upward motion and blend it out so it looks really soft."
Vincent also used Milk Makeup's $24 Lip and Cheek Cream Blush Stick to give the model's cheeks even further.
"I’m going to use a natural color blush, not on the apples, just high above the contour so we’re going to lift it even further," he said.
The makeup pro used a darker shade of the blush on the apples of her cheeks to give "a pop of color."
"This is going to give more fullness to the cheeks and make it look a little bit more youthful," Vincent explained.
Mature Skin Makeup Steps
- Apply contour stick high on the cheekbone and along the jawline
- Add a light blush above the contour on the cheeks
- Use a darker shade of blush on the apples of the cheek
- Apply highlighter to the sides of the eyes
- Add a radiant bronzer on top
Finally, he applied the $24 Dewy Cream Highlighter Stick, also from Milk Makeup.
"I’m just going to put it in a C pattern outside of the orbital bone," Vincent told his viewers as he blended out the product around the model's eye.
He also recommended applying a radiant bronzer on top to set the look.
"This is going to give just a little bit more color to the skin and look more youthful," he said.
