‘I wanted chic layers but ended up with a ‘French mullet’ says woman after hairdresser leaves her with two haircuts
IT'S always a bit risky going to a completely new hairstyle, but most of the time it's a risk that pays off.
But that wasn't the case for one woman who left the hairdressers with not one, but two different haircuts after a disastrous appointment.
Maia Dobbs took to TikTok after the chop to show off the "surprise" style.
Sat in her car with what looked like a very choppy bob, Maia explained what happened.
"I went to the hairdresser and I got this very interesting haircut," she said.
"It looks like a French bob," she continued before pulling the rest of her tresses forward to reveal the back of her locks, which were still long.

"Surprise!" she while looking at the camera with a disappointed look.
After sharing the results of her new style on social media people could believe how bad it turned out, with some even saying it looks "like a jellyfish" and that she should "demand a refund."
One commented: "It's giving French mullet."
A second chimed in: "This is why I wont let young stylists give me layers."
"It's like two for one," someone else joked.
And another wrote: "It's a business casual mullet."
Not everyone hated the unique style though, in fact some were envious of the layered hairdo.
"This was the dream haircut in 2007," one person reassued.
"Um I'm actually obsessed with it," another replied.
And someone else assured Maia the choppy style would eventually "grow out like a dream."
In a follow-up clip, Maia sarcastically said the face-framing layers are doing their job, "I feel completely framed," she joked.
Maia did end up fixing the haircut herself and managed to achieve the style she originally wanted.
"I went at it with a razor to thin out the layers," she said.
"I just wanted to blend it because lines."
Although she confessed she's no pro when it comes to cutting hair, Maia noted she's been cutting her own locks "on and off" since she was a young teen.
She explained she used a normal woman's saving razor to even out the chunks of layers, something the picked up over the years.
