I found a clever way to hide my ugly fence… it cost £40 a panel but unconvinced trolls say it’s ‘Love Island chic’
A MAN who figured out a nifty way to hide his ugly fence has been accused of making his garden "Love Island chic" by trolls.
Dan hated the look of his fence as it was, so painted roof battens grey to go over the top.
He then carefully lined the battens up, making sure the space between them was equal.
"Easy way to hide ugly fences - came out pretty good!" he wrote over the top of the video, which he shared on TikTok.
In the comments section, Dan revealed that the fence cost £40 per panel, and he used trellis battens.
But not everyone was convinced by the fence makeover, with one person writing: "Each to their own I suppose.
"Can’t help but think the panels looked fine. Ultra modern look in a garden just feels a bit 'Love Island Chic'."
"That looks even uglier like grey pallets on the fence now," another added.
"Bet you’ve got porcelain paving, an open plan extension and media wall.
"I can smell the crushed velvet from here."
"There’s nothing wrong with the original fences they look in great condition," a third insisted.
"Another grey garden," someone else sighed.
"Now looks like you have roller garage doors in your garden," another added.
"You’ve replaced a fence with another fence. I don’t get it," someone else wrote.
"Old fence was fine - waste of money!" another insisted.
"Fence over a fence, what’s the point?" someone else added.
As another commented: "I mean, it's very much the same!"
"Every single garden in the UK - slatted grey fence grey stone," someone else said.
"That’ll be considered ugly in 2 years time. Cyclic," another wrote.
But others praised Dan for the transformation.
"Looks proper mint that," one wrote.
"My only reservation would be that there's nowhere for the wind to blow though so hopefully the posts are nice and sturdy."
"40 quid a panel," another added.
"I’m going do this this summer now you showed us how to to do it."

"Looks amazing. I love it," a third praised.
As someone else commented: "Made a lovely job of that!"
