In a clip posted to TikTok (@natashalawson20), she begins: "Turning my council house into a home.

"If you're new here, I've been redecorating my stairway - anything from plastering to just decorating so it's now finally time to add the finishing touches."

After upcycling two black tables from a charity shop, she told how she used a super simple Ikea hack to totally transform the space on a budget - and it's gone down a storm online.

While large mirrors can end up costing a small fortune, Natasha explains how she instead went onto the Ikea website and ordered the BLODLÖNN mirrors which are 30 x 30cm and cost just £5 for a four-pack, meaning they cost just £1.25 each.

She then created a mirrored wall effect using the bargain buys - explaining how she used a spirit level to make them look as neat as possible, before marking the sections out with frog tape.

The savvy DIY guru says she applied the first layer of black paint in a checked pattern, and waited for it to dry before then adding a second coat.

Natasha goes on to say how she had some spare adhesive to go on the back of the mirrors to help secure them to the wall, rather than using the little stickers that came with them.

"I've been eyeing this up for months and just really wanted to do it so it's just so nice to see it all coming together," she says.

It wasn't long before the post garnered over 635k views and hundreds of comments from very impressed social media users up and down the country.
