Beauty fan reveals ‘amazing’ £1 trick to make your favourite perfume last longer & the error people try that ruins it

A WOMAN has revealed her clever method to make any bottle of perfume last twice as long and all it costs is £1. 

Steph often uses her social media account to share her top tips and tricks when it comes to perfumes, including the best dupes on the shelves.

In one video, she couldn’t help but give her advice after listening to a woman who said she put water into her nearly empty perfume bottle. 

Dressed in a white vest top, Steph told viewers: “Hear me out though, if you ever run out of your favourite perfume and you don’t want to buy a new one… 

“And you only have a little bit left, don’t put water in it. 

“Get a scented oil that you think that you think would compliment the scent - like a body oil or even an unscented baby oil like product.

“Put that in there!”

Luckily baby oil is as cheap as £1 online, making it a very affordable method to elongated the lifespan of perfume.

TikTok user @sniffinwithsteph continued: “That way, not only will it make it last longer but it will be stronger, it will be more potent and you’ll need less.

“Combine it with oil - that’s the base of fragrances anyway.” 

In the caption, she added: “How to make your perfume last longer before buying a new one”. 

People flocked to the comments section as one person wrote: “Yes! Not water, don’t do water!!!”

A second asked: “wait you can put alcohol based perfumes into oil?? can i just put a sample into a body oil??”

Steph replied: “Yep! Alcohol based perfumes still have oil in them. Oil for longevity alcohol for projection,” followed by a heart.

A third questioned: “How y’all getting it in the battle”.

She explained: “Just take the top off and poor it in. Or spray the perfume into some oil”.

While a fourth added: "That's amazing, trying now!"
