‘Welcome back!’ gush BBC Breakfast fans as Sally Nugent returns after weeks off screens for plush Maldives holiday
BBC Breakfast viewers were delighted to see Sally Nugent finally back on the red sofa today after weeks off screen.
Sally, 52, hasn't been seen on the BBC One programme since New Year's Day, when she hosted it by herself.
Since then, her co-host Jon Kay has presented the programme alongside Sarah Campbell.
But today, Sally and Jon were finally reunited for their first show together in 2024.
And it was safe to say fans were delighted to see Sally back on the programme, and took to social media to comment.
Sally had revealed her absence from BBC Breakfast was because she was enjoying a New Year holiday to the Maldives.

The journalist shared a series of snaps from her exotic break, including one taken in the evening where she stood on a dock with the ocean behind her.
Sally looked sensational in a one shoulder royal blue dress as she beamed for the snap.
Another saw her strolling along the white sandy beach in the sunshine.
She told her fans: "Home from a dreamy holiday and excited to get back to work.
"We’ve got a busy 2024 for you! See @bbcbreakfast soon."
While some may have expected to see her on Monday, Sarah was once again beside Jon for her final show until her next guest stint.
Sharing a snap from the sofa, alongside Jon and guests Angela Rippon and her Strictly partner Kai Widdrington, she wrote on Monday: "What a way to end a stint on the red sofa with this lovely lot.
"Thanks to @jonkay01 for being a fab-u-lous co-host, to you for all your messages and to the entire #bbcbreakfast team who make 3.5 hours of telly happen every morning! @sallynugent back from 0600."
