BBC Breakfast’s Sally Nugent missing from show after being forced to present solo for first time ever
SALLY Nugent was missing from BBC Breakfast after being forced to host the show alone.
The beloved journalist and presenter, 52, anchored the flagship BBC programme's first episode of 2024.
Her regular co-host Jon Kay, 54, was nowhere to be seen as she brought viewers the latest news solo.
But as fans tuned in on Tuesday morning expecting to see the BBC Breakfast duo reunited, they were left disappointed.
Jon returned to the iconic red sofa but was instead joined by Sarah Campbell.
The Beeb journalist has regularly stood in to host the show when its regular presenters are off.

No reason was given for Sally's absence, as Jon and Sarah got straight on with the show.
Jon presented BBC Breakfast on Christmas Day without Sally, as newly wed Carol Kirkwood was on weather duties.
This week marks the launch of the show's extended running time in a huge BBC One schedule shake-up.
BBC Breakfast will now run each morning from 6am until 9:30am.
Morning Live will kick off in its new timeslot directly after, and will run for a whopping 75 minutes.
Announcing the news to fans, Jon said: "It’s a big week for the #BBCBreakfast team. From now on, the programme will be 15 minutes longer Mon-Fri.
"Then at 0930 our friends and neighbours @BBCMorningLive take over - and their show has been extended, too! The UK’s two biggest morning shows just got BIGGER!"
