I say ‘bye-bye’ to dark circles with my DIY under-eye mask – you’ll already have the 3 ingredients at home
DARK circles under your eyes can be caused by anything from fatigue to genetics.
If you're hoping to brighten your under-eyes, a homemade hack can help.
In her video, Nasra (@nasjama90) demonstrated how to make her DIY skincare mask for her followers.
"Say bye-bye to dark circles," she told her viewers in the caption of the clip.
The TikToker revealed the "three ingredients to brighten your under-eyes."
Nasra informed her viewers that she uses her homemade mask every morning.
For her first step, she placed two large spoonfuls of ground coffee in a bowl.
The experts at Derm Store explained the science behind using coffee as a skincare ingredient.
Steps to making DIY under-eye mask
- Place two large tablespoons of ground coffee in a bowl
- Squeeze honey onto the coffee
- Pour water to make a paste
- Apply to under-eyes and leave for 20 minutes
"Caffeine helps the microcirculation of blood in the skin, which is why it also helps decrease brown discoloration underneath the eyes," Dr. Jeannette Graf said.
Nasra then squeezed some honey on top of the coffee before pouring a small amount of water over the ingredients.
The experts at Be Beautiful revealed why honey can be used to brighten dark circles.
"Honey boosts collagen production that can get rid of dark circles caused by aging," they explained.
Finally, she used a makeup brush to mix the three items until they formed a paste.
Nasra then applied the mixture to the dark circles under both her eyes.
"Leave it on for 20 minutes," she advised her followers.
She used a makeup remover wipe to carefully clean the mask from her face.
"Now I’m ready to go out, bye," Nasra told her audience.
"You can leave the leftover [mixture] in the fridge and use it the next morning," she added.
Her followers shared their thoughts on the DIY mask in the comments section.
