A SCENT expert has shared her number one tip for making your house "smell amazing" - and it's so cheap to do.

Posting under the username @scentbird, the woman took to TikTok to share her hack.

"How to keep your house smelling cozy and delicious", she said.

"You probably have all of the ingredients already".

The scent pro revealed that to make your house smell delicious, you firstly need to grab two oranges, which can be purchased from the supermarket for around 30p.

You then need to grab some cinnamon sticks and a few coffee beans, which cost pennies each.

Cleaning hacks and tips

Here are some tips to help you clean your home like a pro:

"These will be used for their deodorising properties", she said.

Next, she added a bay leaf and some cloves to the mix.

She said that you could also add some non-toxic fragrance to the mix, to give the smell as little "razzle dazzle".

The scent whizz boiled a pan of water on the stove and added in the sliced up orange.

She then placed all of the other ingredients in the cooking pot.

After this, she sprayed the bay leaves with the non-toxic fragrance.

"The fragrance will cling to the leaf and release over time", she said.

"Turn down the heat and watch your witch's brew simmer", she said.

The scent from the pan will rise up into the air and make your house smell cosy and citrusy.

You can also use the leftover ingredients to make a nice sweet tea, or put it into a spray bottle to create a natural room spray.

The scent expert's video has likely left many impressed, as it has racked up over 397,000 views on the video sharing platform.

TikTok users raced to the video's comments section to share their thoughts on the hack.

One user said: "The cinnamon, clove and orange peel makes a natural beautiful scent".

Another user said: "Love it".
