One woman may have found the answer.

Hajar Larbah shared a helpful tip to have your home smelling fragrant and fruity via a video posted to her TikTok channel @moribyan.

She often uses the account to share helpful skincare tips and tricks.

Her videos are extremely popular with social media users and she has racked up over 4.9 million followers on the video sharing platform.

"This is how I make my home smell super cosy like apple pie, without using any chemicals", she said.

To make her homemade room fragrance, Hajar grabbed an apple and chopped it into slices.

She then did the same with an orange.

Hajar poured boiling water into a pan and added the fruit along with cinnamon, cloves, vanilla, brown sugar and butter.

She then let the pot simmer.

"The liquid will evaporate and make your house smell super cosy and lovely", she said.

Hajar said that you can use leftover fruit scraps (e.g. peel etc.) to make the mixture, or if you use fresh fruit, you can save the liquid to make fruit tea.

"The tea is so yummy", she said.

She added that you can use the leftover fruit as compost.
