My DIY ‘infinity candle’ will make your home smell amazing and only costs £1 – it keeps summer bugs away too
A DIY WHIZZ has shared a simple hack to make an "infinity candle" which will leave your house smelling amazing for hours.
Luan shared the tip on his TikTok channel, which he often uses to share tips and life hacks.
"This is the candle that never goes out, and leaves your home scented for a long time", he said.
He explained that first, you need to take a lemon, and cut it in to even slices.
Then take an old jar and fill it with two fingers worth of salt.
Take the lemon slices and place them in the jar, over the salt, and then fill the jar with water, leaving about two fingers at the top.

After this, add some cloves to your mix.
"As well as being very fragrant, cloves also help to scare insects away", Luan said.
He added that you could also add cinnamon, if you prefer.
Luan then added eucalyptus essence, which he said will enhance the citrus scent of the candle.
Finally, he poured some cooking oil on top of the water.
"This will be our fuel, and the oil doesn't mix with the water, it will stay on top", he said.
After this Luan took a disposable plastic cup (the kind left over from birthday parties or celebrations) and cut out the bottom.
He then made a hole in the bottom of the cup, then threaded the wick from a candle (you can cut it out of melt it) through the hole.
Luan placed the wick on top of the candle, and then lit it.
"It will last for hours, with a great smell", he said.
Luan explained that any time you want to reuse the candle, you simply need to add more oil.
This candle making hack is super cheap, and all of the ingredients combined will only cost you around a pound.
Luan's video, which was posted under the username @tipsfromluan, has likely left many impressed, as it has gone viral, racking up a whopping, 2.6 million views.
