Louis and BFF Sharon Osbourne, who were hunkered down in a secret room, were tasked with judging the new arrivals and picking three for potential eviction.

Yet the music manager didn't hold back when Coronation Street's Craig Tinker actor stepped in, stating bluntly: "He's got big ears."

While fans were left stunned, Colson's co-stars had his back.

Sally-Ann Matthews, who plays Jenny Connor, took to X to comment: "That’s me cancelling Louis Walsh x"

A fan quickly replied: "Me too..how dare he be so rude about 'our Craigy'!"

A third then agreed: "It was a rude comment he made," while one said he had: "Gone too far."

The Irishman continued to meddle through the episode, calling out two potential love interests off the bat.

Earlier in the show, Louis also put his foot in it when he revealed he knew the cast.

This led fans to swiftly brand the ITV re-boot a "fix" - just minutes into the opening episode.

Meanwhile, another of Colson's co-stars appeared to give the game away earlier in the day.

Celebrity Big Brother line-up

So who are the 13 stars expected to appear in the Celebrity Big Brother house? The Sun's Jamie Downham takes a look...

Sharon Osbourne - TV legend - who is thought to be on a megabucks deal - said she was doing the show for "a good time not a long time"

Louis Walsh - Irish boyband manager who has never knowingly backed down from a fight. Sure to be a huge presence in the house.

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu - We know from Love Island, the Ek-ster is not above throwing about some dramatics to claw her way to the final.

Levi Roots - Reggae Reggae Sauce sauce packs a bit of a kick, but its inventor seems quite mild-mannered. Will that change under pressure?

Fern Britton - The former This Morning star called out Phillip Schofield - don't think she won't do the same to anyone who tangles with her.

Colson Smith - You'll probably know him best as Corrie's Craig Tinker - but prepare to find out he's not much like his character.

David Potts - Ibiza Weekender's breakout star is sure to bring a bit of the party isle to the house... but will people appreciate it?

Gary Goldsmith - Kate Middleton's uncle is a big signing for ITV, but very much an unknown quantity among viewers.

Marisha Wallace - Top Broadway star may fill the brief of 'American who doesn't know what they've let themselves in for'.

Nikita Kuzmin - The Strictly pro is coming onto the show fresh off the show's tour. Poor lad probably just wants a rest.

Zeze Mills - the social media star has a "no holds barred interview style" - which is just what we need in there.

Bradley Riches - The actor played sweet James McEwan in Netflix hit Heartstopper. We'll soon find out what he's really like.

Lauren Simon - She's a Real Housewives of Cheshire star and you don't get on that show by being shy and retiring.

Secret corner of Celebrity Big Brother house which 'exposes game plan for surprise housemates' revealed on our podcast

Claire Sweeney, who plays Cassie Plummer, seemed to accidentally confirm his spot on the show by mistake in a chat on Monday's Good Morning Britain.

At the time, show anchor Susanna Reid  addressed the show line-up revealed by The Sun and yet kept things vague, referring to Kate Middleton's uncle Gary and other stars by saying "if" they go into the house.

She said: "If Kate Middleton's uncle Gary goes in he will blow royal protocol out of the water."

Yet Claire appeared to mistakenly confirm her Corrie co-star Colson's, involvement - as previously flagged by The Sun.

Addressing whether the stars know they are being filmed or forget about cameras as they get used to life in the compound, the actress said: "Colson is one of the nicest individuals on the planet.

"They know they are on telly, they know how it works."

Her assertive tone appeared to confirm he would be entering the colourful house before she added: "I will be watching."
