‘I sent my girls a text’ people say as bride shows off £2k bridesmaid proposal boxes – including £64 designer perfume
A BRIDE-to-be has shocked people after revealing the bridesmaid proposal boxes she gave her friends were worth over £2,000.
Glam bride Vanessa Tiiu did a detailed breakdown of the fancy products she put in each of the six boxes, including £31 Chanel lipstick and £64 Maison Magiela perfume.
On her @vanessatiiu account, she said: “Here’s how much I spent on each of my six bridesmaid proposal boxes.”
First up she needed to get the chic white boxes, and she said they cost six for CAD$100 (£58.48) from Amazon.
She then stuffed them with silver shredded paper, which cost £17.54 to make it look prettier.
In order to pamper her girls, Vanessa then added gift cards for manicures which were worth £29.24.

The most expensive item in the box was the very generous gift of perfume.
Each bridesmaid got a Maison Magiela perfume which cost £64.33, which was sure to go down a treat.
Vanessa added some £37.43 Nadri earrings, a £15.79 claw clip, Thic mini hair oil for £23.98 and some Buxom lip gloss, priced at £19.88.
And wait, there is more.
The bride also gave them a Laneige £16.96 lip mask, a Clarins make-up set worth £49.12 and even a very extravagant £31.58 Chanel lipstick.
Every wedding needs a special drink, and Vanessa added a £3.51 sparkling wine to the box.
Thankfully the items weren’t all expensive.
She also put in a £2.92 scrunchie for good measure, and a £1.17 pearl letter for each woman.
This was also achieved by stickers which were five for £42.75 and some personalised biscuits.
Vanessa explained that these are usually £2.92 each, but her mum kindly made them, making them free.
Finally she finished off the boxes with ribbon, which cost £29.24.
In total, the six bridesmaids’ boxes worth out at £1,737.47 which works out at £289 each.

However, she admitted she hadn’t spent that eye-wateringly large sum of money herself.
The bride explained: “I want to be really transparent about the process.
“I did buy the little bottles myself, as well as the little Chanel lipsticks.
“Otherwise, the rest of it was gifted.
“I'm so grateful to have gotten gifts from brands but if not my boxes wouldn’t have been much different.”
The bride’s extravagant video has racked up over 46,000 likes, and people were amazed at the swanky boxes.
One person commented: “Cries in poor.”
Another added: “That is like…. 50% of my whole wedding budget.”
