I love shamelessly showing off my boobs in bodycon at other people’s weddings, it’s the perfect place to pull after all

SMOOTHING down her bodycon mini dress and checking the v-neck for a ‘nip slip’  Jodie Weston, 30, walks  into the wedding reception.

While all eyes should be on the bride, Jodie’s figure-hugging dress commands the attention of fellow wedding guests.

And the the DJ, from Beckenham, London admits she has no problem stealing the limelight.

Speaking exclusively to Fabulous, she says: “I'm a shameless wedding siren, I love flashing my cleavage on other people's big days.

“I refuse to follow the dowdy wedding guest rules.

“I know people will accuse me of attention seeking but it’s not, I dress in a way that makes me feel great about myself.”

Showstopper

But while Jodie might feel her best in her risque ensembles, her outfit choices have caused a stir among her friends.

“I got told I couldn’t be a bridesmaid because I’d steal the limelight,” Jodie says.

“But to be honest that suits me, I love my dress sense and I wouldn’t want to be dictated over what I can wear.”

According to Jodie, brides should be encouraging their friends to look their very best.

“Brides have got their man,” she says, “They should encourage their pals to bring the glam.

I hid my first pregnancy and I’d do it again - I’m too scared of being fired, says Rich Kids Go Skint star Jodie Weston

“It’s a great chance to meet single men after all.”

According to Jodie, wedding dress codes are open to interpretation and no two brides have the same opinion.

“You can wear a long evening gown to a black tie wedding and still be told it’s too sexy,” she says.

“If brides don’t want people to show off their breasts or legs then they should say that in the invitation.

“Dress codes are open to interpretation and some brides make up ‘new dress codes’. It's exhausting, I simply stick to sexy frocks.

“I have a wardrobe full of bodycon, boob enhancing outfits, my boobs and my waist are my best assets and I dress to show them off.

”Brides who attack my style should realise their negativity is more about them than me.

“I am not there to steal the groom or the bride’s limelight, it’s not my fault if other guests compliment me.”

Late bloomer

Growing up Jodie says she struggled with low self-esteem and was picked on.

“I was a late bloomer and I never wore makeup and dressed like a tomboy,” Jodie says.

“I always considered myself the  less attractive one in my group of friends.

“I was bullied for being a frumpy dresser, I just didn't have the confidence other girls had.”

Jodie left school at eighteen and studied English language and business at college while working part-time in events management.

“I wanted to become a DJ and I knew I needed to revamp my look,” she recalls.

Jodie went from brunette to blonde, had filler, hair extensions and teeth whitening as well as regularly working out.

Jodie’s son, Koa, now 18 months old was born in September 2022 and the DJ says that only boosted her body confidence further.

“Having a baby also made my boobs bigger,” she says.

“I went up two cup sizes to 36EE and it gave me proper curves.”

Finding confidence

Now Jodie says she wears what makes her feel sexy and confident but her glam-heavy look has caused issues among friends.

“It started five years ago when I was told I couldn’t  be a bridesmaid at a friend's wedding because I’d steal her limelight,” she says.

“I was so shocked I ended up not attending the wedding, it was gutting.

“That rejection made me determined just to be me. I won't go out and buy a sack or dress that looks old fashioned to please the bride. I wear outfits I like and are suitable .

“Women are meant to be supportive, not catty. I don't go up to a bride and tell her dress is ugly even if it isn't what I have chosen.”

But even when she’s not a guest, Jodie has ruffled a few feathers when it comes to weddings.

We’re told to support other people’s choices and bodies. Instead we are still attacking women who dare to show cleavage or leg

She explains: “I DJ’d one wedding and the groom told me I’d done amazing sets and everyone wanted my contact details for their events.

“He admitted his new wife hadn't been happy with my outfit.

“I wasn't bothered. The guests had fun and that’s all that matters.”

Catty calls

According to a study by the University of Ottawa  the majority of women Instinctively feel threatened by other women who defy social norms including wearing skimpy clothing

The research revealed that in more than 50 percent of cases where the woman dressed provocatively, the reaction from other women were judged to be aggressive or ‘catty.’

The women in this situation were more likely to roll their eyes at their peers, stare her up and down and show anger while she was in the room.

The research demonstrated when she left the room, many of them laughed at her, ridiculed her appearance, and/or suggested that she was sexually available.

However, if a woman was dressed conservatively, the study found the opposite; women barely noticed the woman’s arrival into the room and none discussed her when she left.

“The research doesn't surprise me,” Jodie says.

“Women are jealous of each other.

"We’re told to support other people’s choices and bodies. Instead we are still attacking women who dare to show cleavage or leg.

“I always laugh because everyone is looking at the bride and not me. We all know a wedding is the bride's big day. If people glance at me that's all it is - a glance.

“I wear outfits I like. If they show off my boobs and body that’s my right and my choice.

“I go to weddings and ensure people get up and dance and it’s a great place to meet single men.

“Brides who think I am stealing their limelight should take a chill pill."
