‘So you decided to buy them all & not leave any for others’ shoppers fume as foodie nabs haul of 50% off meat from Aldi

A MAN has left people totally divided after showing off his epic haul of half price meat.

The savvy shopper was left stunned when browsing the aisles in his local Aldi, when he noticed that a large selection of the meat had been reduced.

Thrilled with his finds, Nicholas Lloyd made sure to stock up on steak mince, meatballs and more.

Clearly chuffed with his cut-price buys, the food fan took to social media to alert other shoppers.

Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a private Facebook group with a staggering 2.4 million members, the Aldi shopper shared a snap of his haul of 50% off buys and penned: “Got to love Aldi, right time, right place.”

He then claimed: “They literally put them on the shelf as I walked up to it!”

Nicholas was lucky enough to get his hands on four packs of 5% fat Lean Aberdeen Angus Steak Mince, which were all 50% off.

Not only this, but he also got two packs of Venison Meatballs, also 50% off.

And if that wasn’t enough, he also nabbed a pack of diced chicken, as well as a pack of diced turkey - both of which were slashed by 50% too.

While Nicholas didn’t confirm with Aldi location he found the bargains, he later shared the exact time that he nabbed his cheap meat, as he revealed: “Friday around 2pm.

“They don't normally price down that early but must have been a quiet time.”

At the time of writing, Nicholas shared his post just five hours prior - and it had clearly left many open-mouthed, as it had quickly racked up 308 likes and 82 comments. 

Shoppers divided 

But social media users were left divided by Nicholas’ reduced buys - while some were impressed with his bargains, others were shocked at how much he nabbed.

One person said: “Great bargain.” 

Another added: “Great haul and perfect for the freezer. Love Aldi.” 

A third commented: “Great haul, very jealous. My freezer would be full!!”

Whilst someone else wrote: “Lucky you.”

However, to this, Nicholas later confirmed: “[There] was plenty left on the shelf.”

Meanwhile, another shopper claimed: “I would take as many as I could afford.”

Whilst someone else chimed in: “You snooze you lose.”
