Going commando in the gym literally changed my life – there’s a major benefit people aren’t aware of
A GYM goer has revealed that she loves to exercise without wearing underwear.
She said the move was life-changing and there have been major benefits.
TikToker Alisa Fox (@alisa_fox0731) loves to share content of her posing in the gym.
In one post, she dropped a life hack.
"Girl do it," she wrote on the video. "Go commando in the gym. You'll thank me later."
"Literally changed my life," she added.
"Going commando" is a slang way to say you're not wearing underwear.
Some people in the comments section were curious why Alisa likes to work out without panties.
"It’s better for your overall bodily health in the long run and clothes will fit better," she answered.
For women, there are several more benefits, as outlined by Business Insider.
There is a lowered chance of yeast infections, fewer urinary tract infections, less irritation, and a reduction in vaginal odor.
However, that doesn't mean you should ditch all your undergarments just yet.
There are some cons to going commando.
There is less protection from stains and drips, and there isn't an extra barrier to protect your body from your zipper.
Pros and cons aside, not everyone is willing to ditch their underwear at the gym.
Only 18% percent of people said they preferred not to wear anything under their pants, according to a 2020 Tommy John survey.
Fifty-two percent of respondents said they needed undies, and 30% were undecided.
