Woman finds low-cost way to make beautiful bronze Christmas tree decorations using kitchen item you’d usually throw away
WITH the countdown to Christmas already under way, many of us will be searching for some extra baubles to add to our tree.
For those wanting to be a bit more eco friendly though, one woman has shared how she makes beautiful bronze decorations from her recycling - and it costs her just pennies per time.
If you weren't already sold, you won't even need to add anything to your shopping list - instead you can just raid the cupboards for one basic ingredient.
Well that and some thread, a large metal spoon, scissors and a ball point pen.
You won't even need to get paint out for this craft, which means no drying time and even less mess!
Originally shared by artist and Tiktok creator @theprintedpeanut, she showed how she has been craftily upcycling old tomato puree tubes into stunning Christmas decorations.

In fact, she's been doing it since she was a kid and revealed in the caption that it was her mum who first taught her the Christmassy craft.
This simple craft is also perfect for keeping older teens entertained over the holidays - although you'll still need to watch out for sharp edges.
To get started, all you will need is a few of empty tomato puree tubes - ideally the more the better.
Simply snip off the top and bottom with a pair of scissors, then cut up one side of the tube which should leave you with a square of metal.
Rinse off any remaining tomato with warm soapy water and then dry it off with a tea towel, being careful not to rip or snag the fabric.
Once this is done, you can move your craft to the table and then gently flatten out the metal with the back of a spoon.
Be sure to place a thick towel or newspaper underneath where you are working, as this will save the table surface from getting damaged.
Now, you can finally start on your designs and use a dried out ball point pen to etch your designs on the metal.
When you are done, you can cut them out and add a small hole so they are ready to be hung on your tree.
If you are feeling extra festive, you can even turn your creations in to a homemade garland with a long piece of string.
Unsurprisingly, the artist's Christmassy craft has gone viral - gaining over 900,000 view after she posted it last weekend.
The short clip has also gained hundred of comments, with people praising these eco-friendly designs.
One impressed user even wrote: "There’s a special place in heaven for creative people."
Another added: "Great, now I'm annoyed at the dozens I've recycled over the years."
A third even revealed that their family had done a similar craft, writing: "My mum does this with mince pie tins."
