When is Black Friday 2024?

Black Friday is always marked the day after the official US Thanksgiving holiday.

Thanksgiving traditionally falls on the fourth Thursday in November, which means Black Friday should be the fourth Friday in November.

However, this year the calendar falls a little differently and Black Friday lands on the fifth Friday in November, which is 29th November.

Some retailers have been known to launch its Black Friday sale in advance of this date, but whether that will be the case for M&S remains unknown.

Of course, there is more meaning behind Black Friday than flash sales and discounts.

While M&S doesn't partake in the official Black Friday sale, we will keep you updated with any deals and sales during the coming weeks.

Is M&S taking part in Black Friday this year?

Technically no. Marks & Spencer doesn't officially take part in Black Friday sales, and hasn't done for a number of years.

But, that's not to say M&S doesn't launch a variety of discounts throughout the month of November to help shoppers save more.

In fact, for the last few years, M&S has stated they are not taking part but have launched sale deals to coincide with the huge Cyber Weekend sale event. It sounds confusing we know.

So any shoppers looking for some pre-Christmas savings are expected to find some stellar discounts, despite them not being marketed as 'Black Friday' savings.

Because the retailer doesn't participate, it's hard to tell what offers will be available for 2024, if at all.

It's likely the deals won't be labelled as Black Friday promotions, but we're certain there will be great deals at M&S.

What to expect from M&S Black Friday sale 2024

Marks & Spencer doesn't technically take part in the Black Friday sales, so there isn't an official start date.

In previous years M&S has launched big sales, bundle offers and discounts on different categories around a similar time to Black Friday.

We anticipate the same will happen this year, though what exactly those deals will be remains a mystery.

In the meantime, shoppers can already snap up a variety of deals at M&S as part of its clearance sale.

The clearance sale sees huge discounts on womenswear, menswear, kidswear and toys.

Plus, there are specific deals on select brands, such as Weleda, Aveda, and Origins, which could see you save £10 on your order, or be eligible for a free gift.

Despite not officially taking part in Black Friday, there were plenty of offers for Marks & Spencer shoppers to enjoy around the same time of year.

There were so many deals running separately, that it was one of the top retailers to find a good bargain.

When is Cyber Monday 2024 and is Marks and Spencer taking part?

Cyber Monday is always the first Monday directly after Black Friday, and Cyber Weekend.

This year Cyber Monday falls on 2nd December, which is a little later than previous years.

Traditionally, Cyber Monday was seen as the final 'online-only sale event' closing the Black Friday season.

But over the years many retailers have chosen to offer deals both in-store and online.

Marks & Spencer doesn't always announce official Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals.

However, the high street brand usually has massive reductions across all departments in late November, marking the start of the peak Christmas shopping period, and December too.

How much does M&S delivery cost?

Depending on what you've ordered, it's generally free to order online and collect your shopping from your nearest store after 12 pm.

Standard deliveries are free when you spend £60 or more on your order, otherwise it's £3.99 for orders under that threshold.

If you need your order in a hurry, a nominated day or next-day delivery will cost £5.99, you'll just need to make sure you make your order by 8 pm.

M&S shoppers can also purchase flower arrangements, as well as furniture, food, hampers and wine, though the delivery times and fees may vary, so it is worth double checking the fees before shopping.

Does Marks & Spencer offer any other discounts?

Outside of the sale and clearance, there are ways M&S shoppers can save more on their orders.

M&S also offers Sparks discounts for loyalty card members, which is free to sign up.

The discounts can be sporadic but you will be alerted to them via email.
