‘Work smarter, not harder’ DIY fans rave as woman proudly shares how she transformed her plain wall with £5 Ikea buys
A WOMAN has revealed that she gave her bland living room wall a stunning makeover on the cheap.
Nicole Soames, a DIY enthusiast, used a lick of paint and £5 Ikea buys to give her space a gorgeous overhaul, whilst on a budget.
Posting on social media, the mother, who shares clips under the username Elocin Home, proudly shared the step-by-step process of her living room wall’s transformation.
Nicole wrote: “Ikea mirror hack” and at the start of the clip, we saw Nicole’s plain white wall.
She then used a ruler and some tape to create a large outline on the wall.
Using black paint, Nicole then painted inside the box, to provide a background for her mirror display.

Once the paint had dried, Nicole used a spirit level and stuck her Ikea mirrors in line on the wall, creating a stunning mirror piece.
Not only was the space complete with the unique mirror wall, but Nicole then used a black vase and pampas grass, as well as a shelving unit with chic decor items, to really bring the space to life.
Nicole used a total of 15 mirrors for her ‘low budget’ renovation hack.
The content creator explained that she got her 30x30cm mirrors for £5 for a pack of four from Ikea, costing a total of £20.
The DIY fan also confirmed that she used a Valspa paint in the shade matte black for her mega makeover.

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @elocinhome, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has amassed a staggering 755,300 likes.
DIY fans left stunned
Social media users were impressed with the mirror wall and many took to the comments to express this.
One person said: “Work smarter, not harder. Nice job!”
To this, Nicole replied: “Exactly this.”
Another added: “Thank you for the beautiful, creative idea.
"I am piggybacking from you. Are the mirrors flexible peel and sticks?”
Nicole then confirmed: “No lovely.. They [have] a sticky tab.”
A third commented: “Everything looks so beautiful.”
Meanwhile, someone else chimed in: “I LOVE IT. Looks so amazing.”
At the same time, another DIY fan shared: “Want to try this!”
