Claire and her husband, Mr West, moved into their three bedroom home in Essex in July 2021.

Since then, the pair have spent time giving the home a total makeover - and now, the once neglected space looks more like a new build.

Posting on social media, in one video, Claire proudly showed off her home’s kitchen makeover, which she did for next to nothing.

She explained that it cost just £150 to give her council kitchen a mini makeover.

Thanks to paint and vinyl wrapping, the once brown kitchen is now unrecognisable, as Claire shared: “Painted all the units and wrapped the kitchen counter.

“New floors to still go in, handles and sink too.

“Still needs a few more jobs but it looks like a new kitchen!”

What was once very dark and dated is now incredibly bright and modern.

The brown cupboards have been given a glow up and are now white, whilst the dark counter tops have now been covered in a wood-style vinyl wrap.

Claire later explained that she got her kitchen wrap from B&M.

In another clip, Claire gave her followers a close-up look at her home’s front room, before and after its renovation.

She penned: “Moving into a council home - making it our own.”

Claire explained that she and her husband ripped up the carpet, only to realise it was covered in fleas.

She then claimed: “We decorated upstairs first, then started downstairs.”

Claire plastered the whole room and gave it a fresh lick of paint, as she shared: “All painted, floors down and new skirting boards.

“I’d say 85% finished here. Getting there and nearly finished.”

The DIY fan proudly showed off her fresh new space, which not only looks immaculate, but is super on trend too.

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @mr_and_mrs_west, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up a staggering 81,100 views.

Social media users were left stunned at the home’s overhaul and many were eager to express this in the comments.

One person said: “Your kitchen is beautiful.”

Another added: “so much brighter and looks lovely.”
