I gave my council house a total makeover for next to nothing – trolls question why I bothered and say I’ll never own it
A YOUNG woman has revealed that she is on a mission to turn her council house into a home.
Molly Mack, a mother and interior lover, explained that she has given her council house a mega makeover, whilst on a budget.
So if your home could do with a transformation, but you haven’t got loads of extra cash to splash, you’ll need to listen up.
Posting on social media, Molly gave her followers a before and after look at her home, leaving many stunned.
In one clip, Molly shared pictures of her rundown home before she got to work.
The home was clearly in need of some TLC, with floors without carpets and very plain and basic decor.

However, the DIY fan then proudly showed off her home’s overhaul - which is sure to leave you open-mouthed.
Molly then wrote: “POV: When you move into a council house and on a budget, but love interior design and DIY.”
The DIY enthusiast’s living room is now incredibly homely and modern - with stylish wallpaper and trendy soft furnishings.
Her kitchen has been given a totally new look too - and long gone are the plain beige cupboards, as Molly has given the space a fresh lick of paint and it’s now navy with chic gold handles.
The bathroom is unrecognisable too - as the once plain white space has now been upgraded with black detailings and a trendy new grey flooring.
Her son’s bedroom has also gone from plain to totally adorable - and has been finished with a Jungle Book wallpaper, lovely prints and cosy grey carpet.
But not only this, Molly’s bedroom has also been given a stunning upgrade, and is now a room of dreams.
With a unique khaki panelled wall, this bedroom looks as though it's been given a thorough, very professional job.
However, in another video, Molly showed off her home’s finished look and revealed the comments she often hears from trolls.
She claimed that people will often ask her: “Why bother making your council house look nice?”
But that’s not all, as Molly also shared that trolls will claim: “You’ll never own it.”
Despite this, the proud mother was keen to clap back at the nasty remarks, as she shared: “Because it’s where me and my son have to live!
“I will make it a comfortable home for us.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @mollymackxx, has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed 87,800 views.
Social media users were stunned at Molly’s home makeover and were keen to express this in the comments.
One person said: “Beautiful, I love everything.”
Another added: “Love your bedroom, so beautiful and relaxing.”
A third commented: “You've done an amazing job in your new home. Best of luck with it.”
At the same time, someone else claimed: “You aced it. you should do interior design for a living.”
Meanwhile, one woman asked: “Lovely home, how long did it take to get it how you wanted?”
To this, Molly explained: “Thank you! About six weeks. I was working and had a baby.
