‘Why are you marrying him if you don’t trust him?’ people blast as bride-to-be lists ‘needy’ rules for her man’s stag do
FOR most men, stag dos are seen as their last night of freedom before settling down.
With stags being notorious for unruly behaviour, one bride decided to set strict rules for her man – and it’s sparked intense debate online.
Rather than waiting for things to get out of hand, content creator Isabella ‘Izzy’ Blout decided to ease her fears even more by sharing them on Tiktok.
As the bride-to-be planned her big day, she had no idea just how quickly the video would go viral with over 1.7 million people seeing it so far.
Despite the clip being tongue-in-cheek, there has been intense debate about the Leicestershire woman’s ‘rules’ with some even questioning whether she should even get hitched.
For those that are curious, her extensive list had seven rules for fiancé Max to follow, including having no strippers and some locations being ‘off-limits’ as a venue.

Whilst some women would rather not know what goes on during a stag-do, Izzy asked that her betrothed video and photograph ‘everything’ – joking that she’d get FOMO.
The bride even requested that her fiancé bring back a present, teasing him by writing: “I’m not saying it will make up for anything but I like gifts.”
Whilst she emphasised that the list was a joke in a follow-up video, the internet has struggled to see the funny side with some Tiktok users accusing the bride of being ‘untrusting’.
As the video went viral, one user even pointedly wrote: “If you don’t trust him…just don’t marry him!!!”
“My fiancé’s stag do this weekend and [there are] no rules…just want him to go enjoy his weekend cos I trust him,” added another.
Others questioned what would happen if the other stags had control of the night, as a third argued: “OK but in a traditional stag do the groom doesn't really have a say in what happens.”
Some also questioned why Izzy would want a reminder of the night, even when she later said that she meant a keyring.
“Bring back a present from a stag do, like what exactly? A hangover and the smell of regret?” commented a fourth, clearly unimpressed with the bride-to-be’s demands.
However, many commenters felt that the blushing bride’s rules weren’t all that extreme.
“Thing is people commenting ‘it’s his stag do blah blah’...the rules she has set are just boundaries which quite frankly are just basic respect,” stated a fan, saying: “I’m with you girl!!!”
A sixth wrote: “Stag/hens should be seen as a celebration that you are getting married not a last ‘free’ night out.”
For Izzy though, she has enjoyed seeing people’s reaction to her joke list and even told Hitched: "My fiancé knew about the TikTok before it was posted, as we both thought it was quite obviously a joke. So we just laugh together at the comments now.
"The gift thing also was meant to be funny, but I wouldn’t mind!"
She even revealed that Max would have had similar rules for her hen do, as he ‘completely agrees and respects these things’.
The content creator did admit that the post had sparked an interesting discussion about what goes on a stag do and how problematic they can be.
She explained: "I do think that it has unveiled a huge topic of conversation, and girls have been saying they are arguing with their fiancés about the same things!
