Cruel trolls say I’m selfish for having my baby because she was born without limbs – she’s beautiful no matter what

A YOUNG mother received backlash online after giving birth to her daughter, who was born without any arms or legs.

Trolls labeled the woman "selfish" when she decided to proceed with her pregnancy after learning her baby would have no limbs.

Kiara Duprey, 24, gave birth to her daughter Arianna, on July 28, 2023.

The now eight-month-old was born with transverse limb deficiency, which means she doesn't have full arms and legs.

Kiara and partner Javier Floreniani, 21, were told about their daughter's condition at the 12-week scan.

"[The doctors] were trying to pressure me to get an abortion," the mom-of-one explained.

"Right away I was asked if I wanted to terminate.

"But God did this for a reason. This is the way God decided to bring her to us.

"Just because she's coming a little different doesn't mean I should abort her."

Medical experts originally thought Arianna had Roberts syndrome, a genetic disorder characterized by limb and facial abnormalities, and would likely not make it to full term.

"They thought she would mostly likely die and be stillborn," Kiara recalled.

But by a miracle, Arianna arrived via a scheduled C-section and was born weighing exactly five pounds.

Kiara described her daughter's birth as both "exciting" and "a relief."

After her official diagnosis, Arianna stayed in the hospital for a week as she was monitored for a heart murmur.

Now the infant is waiting to see when she'll be able to have prosthetics but her parents say she can already hold a bottle and sit up by herself.

As long as she's happy I am, she's beautiful no matter what.

Kiara, a stay-at-home mom from Philadelphia, spoke about the hate she has received online since giving birth.

"Everyone says I'm selfish because I decided to bring her into the world like that," she said.

"But as long as she's happy I am, she's beautiful no matter what."

The young mother said that Arianna is already lifting her own head while lying down.

"She's doing really great, she's very determined," Kiara gushed.

"When her pacifier falls out she tries to put it back in her mouth."

Kiara originally struggled with the cruel comments from social media users but has now learned to ignore them.

"They say she looks like a Jean Paul Gaultier cologne bottle," she said.

"It was hard at first, I'm trying to teach her that not everybody in this world is cruel.

"I think they think she is paralyzed but she can move, she does everything a normal kid does."
