Hollyoaks star lands part in new reality show following soap stars’ off-camera lives – joining Strictly’s Ellie Leach

CHELSEE HEALEY is the latest soap star to land a role in a huge new reality show, which invites cameras behind closed doors.

The Hollyoaks actress has started filming for upcoming ITVbe show Drama Queens and the mum-of-two let cameras into her first ever event for her clothing brand yesterday.

She joins her fellow Hollyoaks co-stars  Jorgie Porter and Jamelia, as well as Corrie’s Lucy Fallon, Strictly winner Ellie Leach and Emmerdale’s Amy Walsh, Roxy Shahidi and Laura Norton.

An insider said: “Chelsee is a later addition to the show – after the main names were announced earlier this year.

“It’s not clear how much she will feature just yet but she is really popular with Hollyoaks’ fans and has a huge social media fan base, so is bound to be a big hit on the show.”

As well as being a mum of two and playing Goldie McQueen in the soap, Chelsee runs Rags the Label.

She invited her celebrity pals - and the cameras - to see her latest collection over the weekend.

Drama Queens will follow the actors as they balance busy schedules of being a soap star, their family lives and attending other events such as award ceremonies.

Speaking about taking part in the show, Ellie said: “I’m so excited about Drama Queens.

“People are so used to seeing me play the character Faye Windass and I’m just so excited for everyone to see who I am and what goes on in my day-to-day life as just Ellie.”

While mum-of-two Brooke said: “I am excited to show the authentic side of having small children whilst trying to navigate my way back into the acting world.

“Drama Queens allows me to showcase the reality of trying to find the work-home life balance of a young actress in what can seem a glamorous world.”

Fellow new mum Lucy, who welcomed her first child Sonny last February, added: “I’m excited for viewers to see a real ‘behind the scenes’ of my chaotic life as an actress and a first-time mum.”

The show will air later this spring.
