I eat Poundland chocolate out of a wet wheelie bin – people think it’s gross but it’s better when it’s free

A MAN who nabbed loads of chocolate from a wheelie bin outside Poundland has insisted it tastes better "when it's free".

He regularly goes "dumpster diving", as it's called Stateside, near UK shops, and uploads videos of his hauls on his social media pages.

His latest outing saw him hit Poundland, as he started rifling through the bin in the clip on TikTok.

He grabbed one bag out of the bin, and broke it open to start going through it.

"There's bars of chocolate in there, but I don't know if they are wet," he mused.

He then continued to pull out bar after bar of chocolate - the 30% less sugar Cadbury's, and the orange variety too.

"Damn, there's loads of them!" he exclaimed, as he stopped counting at nine bars.

There were also Muller Rice yoghurts, but he said he didn't "want those".

Continuing the hunt, he found a few more chocolate bars, as well as chocolate Easter eggs.

People were quick to comment on the video, with one writing: "I’ve seen it all now!"

"Why don’t they give them to the homeless or food bank?" another wondered.

"It’s a waste!"

"Probably covered in rats pee and just wouldn't touch them," a third wrote.

To which the man replied: "Extra flavour!"

"I wouldn’t eat anything from a bin," someone else commented.

As another asked: "Are you really going to eat bin chocolate?"

"Yep, tastes exactly the same as paid for chocolate!" someone else said.

"Best of all it's free!"

"Mate, it’s cool if it’s like items of houseware, or clothes or something," another said.

"But food, na that’s rank!"

"Tastes fantastic," the man responded.

"I wouldn’t skip dive in the UK, especially not bloody Poundland," someone else said.

But others defended the man, with some even insisting they wanted to give dumpster diving a try.

"Did not know you could do this in the UK!"one wrote.

"Always jealous when I see the American videos and some of the things they get!"

"Nowt wrong with what this guy doing," another said.
