  • One win from Berlin

Former Lionesses star Izzy Christiansen sums up the mood on 5 Live.

She said: "Wow is all I can say. These fans have gone absolutely wild.

"Some of these fans have stood on the top of the tier. Sweet Caroline is on, Pickford made a save in the shootout and England are going through."

  • ENGLAND REACH EURO 2024 SEMI-FINALS

Trent Alexander-Arnold scores (England 5-3 Switzerland)

The Three Lions were perfect from the spot.

Yann Sommer never had a chance.

    Here's our match report.

They played Under Pressure by Queen in the stadium.

    Palmer was fine with it.

  • Full-time: England 1-1 Switzerland

    I love penalties.

Harry Kane, of course, is on the bench.

    Who will step up?

Ivan Toney is superb from 12 yards.

  • England 1-1 Switzerland

    118. England hanging on.

Switzerland have another couple of chances. Jordan Pickford saves one and another goes over.

They are by far the strongest team at the moment.

  • England 1-1 Switzerland

    116. Swiss so close!

Xherdan Shaqiri hits the post with a corner.

It was deliberate, outrageous and had Jordan Pickford beaten.

  • England 1-1 Switzerland

    114. Trent Alexander-Arnold is on for Phil Foden, who has struggled again.

I'm not entirely sure how England are lining up after these changes.

    Hopefully the players do.

  • England 1-1 Switzerland

    110. A brief flurry of chances

Xherdan Shaqiri leaves Jude Bellingham on the deck but plays a poor ball that Kyle Walker does well to mop up.

Cole Palmer tries to weave through but is stopped by a last-gasp challenge.

The Swiss then go close again.

    Both teams going for it.

  • England 1-1 Switzerland

    108. Harry Kane takes a tumble.

Manuel Akanji gives him a nudge and he almost crashes into Gareth Southgate.

Kane ends up on top of an ice box and is replaced by Ivan Toney.

Xherdan Shaqiri is on for Swiss goalscorer Breel Embolo.

  • England 1-1 Switzerland

    106.

Back to Dusseldorf, we've just started the second period of extra-time.

    It's slowed down a lot.

Jude Bellingham has been at the thick of a lot of the action. On and off the field.

  • Netherlands v Turkey team news

There is, of course, another quarter-final on today.

    Here are the teams....

Netherlands: Verbruggen, Dumfries, De Vrij, Van Dijk, Ake, Reijnders, Schouten, Bergwijn, Simons, Gakpo, Depay.

Turkey: Gunok, Muldur, Akaydin, Bardakci, Kadioglu, Ayhan, Ozcan, Guler, Calhanoglu, Yildiz, Yilmaz.

  • England 1-1 Switzerland

    101. Jude Bellingham gets a couple of bites at the cherry.

Unfortunately the Swiss defence are equal to it and block both his efforts.

England's attacks are becoming more fruitful.

  • England 1-1 Switzerland

    99. The game has settled back into a rhythm.

Some of the players are exhausted.

Eberechi Eze, who looks fresh as a daisy, is brought down by Fabian Schar, who is dangerously close to getting a second yellow.

The Crystal Palace man has looked lively, a real joy to watch.

  • England 1-1 Switzerland

    94. Declan Rice goes close.

Yann Sommer has done brilliantly to keep out the long-range effort.

I've just learned he's the same age as me.

Suffice to say I'm not quite as nimble. Fair play to him, I'd be sore for weeks.

  • Here we go again...

Extra-time, again. Urgh, writes Tom Barclay in Dusseldorf.

At least the rescue mission did not come quite as late as Slovakia, with Bukayo Saka’s leveller coming ten minutes before the final whistle of the 90.

England felt like they were building towards something in the first half but then reverted completely into their shells.

The crowd - the English side, anyway - went quiet and Switzerland smelled blood.

Breel Embolo poked home what was probably a deserved opener, before Saka’s beautiful effort went in off the post.

It was frustrating it took for Switzerland to score for Gareth Southgate to make any changes.

Once again, the approach appears to be keep it tight and hope for a moment of individual brilliance.

Let’s hope someone else - or Saka again - can step up in the next half an hour.

  • England 1-1 Switzerland

    91. We're away again.

    Who has the fresher legs?

And who have been working on their spot-kicks.

Here's a nice article on the substitution confusion earlier.

  • Full-time

    It's honours even.

The game burst into life and we have 30 minutes more.

    And maybe penalties...

  • England 1-1 Switzerland

    92. A late chance for Switzerland.

And it's fallen to the man they would have wanted, Breel Embolo.

He fluffs his lines with the header and it's extra-time.
