I’ll never forget the awkward silence when I showed my parents the rundown house I’d bought for £435K, it was deafening
THEY spent a staggering £435,000 buying a rundown bungalow in London.
But one woman has admitted her parents' reaction to seeing the home for the first time wasn't what she'd been expecting.
"I will never forget the awkwardness when I showed my parents for the first time the house that we had bought," she said in a video on her TikTok page.
"The silence was deafening.
"They were looking at me as if, 'What the hell have you got yourself into here?
"'What have you bought? How are you going to live in this?'"

While the "vibes were so off" the day her parents came to look around, she insisted she could "see the vision" and knew "exactly what" to do with the bungalow.
"The place is completely unlivable," she said.
"It needed new electrics, new plumbing, everything.
"Little did we know at this point that not only were we going to tear it apart, but actually only leave the brick.
"Other than the brick and the roof, literally everything was gone."
She showed herself and her husband working on the property as she explained that "renovating a house is not for the faint hearted".
"There will be stressful times, but you can make your home exactly how you want it," she said.
"And I would so do this again."
But there's one thing the woman advises having in place before you start a big renovation project.
"Just make sure that you have savings because there will be things that come up," she added.
"You think you know what you're paying, but there will be more things that pop up."
"That's an absolute bargain," one person commented on the video.
"I used to live in one - loved it but moved further in.
"Bungalows are going to be worth more than houses because they are so rare."
"We absolutely love bungalows!" the woman replied.
"Would deffo get one again in the future."

"Probably same size as mine I'm in Newcastle and it cost £83k!" a third marvelled.
