EVERY woman who has ever visited New York City has probably recreated Marilyn Monroe's viral subway grate moment.
The famous image has become so iconic that the Hollywood star is almost always depicted wearing the same white dress.
In her video, Aimee Smale, owner and designer of Odd Muse (@oddmuselondon) attempted to get her own fun and flirty shot.
"Watch me try to have a Marilyn moment and fail," she told her followers.
Aimee filmed herself as she walked through Times Square towards the grate.
She posed in an off-shoulder white dress from Odd Muse, which she accessorized with a pair of black sunglasses.
The short look featured long sleeves with split cuffs and a cinched waist.
While the satin dress was puffed slightly at the bottom it wasn't as free-flowing as Marilyn's in the original photo.
This proved to be a good thing as Aimee's high heel got stuck in the grate.
She struggled to maintain her balance for a moment but saved herself from falling over.
Laughing hysterically, she carefully walked off the grate and back towards the camera.
"The dress is still great though," Aimee joked in the caption of the video.
One of her impressed followers agreed that it was a "lovely dress."
Another woman was let down by her fashion find, which was inspired by another famous blonde.
One lab worker recounted the awkward moment she accidentally flashed her co-workers.
A third woman showed her followers the birthday dress she rented that was not family-friendly.
