It comes as Albert Square's Christmas Day murderer was finally revealed to viewers as Linda Carter, played by Kellie Bright, with Keanu Taylor, played by Danny Walters, the unfortunate victim.

The killing was centred on The Six storyline, which began with a flash forward episode in February.

In a shocking twist aired on Christmas Day on BBC One, the Vic landlady stabbed the hunk in the back, leaving him to die at the bottom of her own stairs.

Now EastEnders fans have trawled through past episodes of the soap for spoilers from the past month - and now think they have a clue.

They have flagged a fight between Nish Panesar and Keanu in the Vic, after which Keanu said “this isn’t over."

They now reckon Nish, played by Navin Chowdhry, will be framed for Keanu’s murder.

One took to Reddit to muse: "Anyone remember this argument in the Vic a couple of weeks ago…"

Another put: "Good call, I thought it was a bit weird Nish randomly starting on the Taylors. Now we know why."

A third fizzed: "Ooooh that’s a good point!!" while one added: "Yeah that’s what I thought."

Fans have recently called out a huge blunder in the pub's festive murder scene.

After so much turmoil, viewers of the long-running show have begun to wonder how the Vic was able to remain open.

One fan took to X, formerly known as Twitter, expressing their disbelief by commenting: "The Queen Vic.

"Only pub that has no CCTV where people have regularly been murdered for about 35 years and still keeps its trading licence."

Meanwhile, actress Kellie had a three-word response as she was told by soap bosses she was the killer.

A spin-off show titled EastEnders: The Six - Whodunnit with former EastEnders star Joe Swash revealed how Kellie took the news about being the Christmas murder.

Kellie was joined by executive producer Chris Clenshaw and was left stunned at the news.

She exclaimed: "Are you joking? Oh no. I don't mind being the murderer.

"Oh Jesus, why have you done this to me? I didn't see that coming."
