ALL couples know that the honeymoon phase doesn’t last forever and things can get a little stale, especially after you have kids.
Though spicing things up can be tricky, one couple insists that ‘cheating’ is the key to a happy relationship.
Despite growing up in the same town, Zoe and Matt first connected over social media and fell for each other almost instantly.
Former soldier Matt was smitten but having been cheated on previously, he was keen to avoid getting his heart broken again – which is when he suggested having an ‘open relationship’.
Keen for Zoe to experiment, his other half would ‘cheat’ on him whilst he was at work – often sending videos and photos of her adventures with other men.
“I was happy to find someone who weren’t then gonna cheat behind my back,” he admitted to Truly’s Love Don’t Judge, adding that the videos made him feel ‘involved’.

Though he was happy just to ‘watch’, it wouldn’t be long until the former solider also began to experiment – with his girlfriend eagerly encouraging him to explore.
Like steamy show The Couple Next Door, Matt and Zoe even enjoyed people together – often attending parties or ‘club’ with like-mined people.
Whilst they may seems care-free, their relationship has strict rules which they both live by.
Honesty is key, with the couple ask permission before finding a new partner and can even stop their other half if they feel uncomfortable.
“A lot of people do sit there and think that it’s just a form of cheating, but I don't anything behind your back,” Zoe revealed.
They even banned each other from kissing others and said it was ‘too intimate’ - despite how close they were with others.
Though that rule has changed, safety always comes first as Zoe explained: “Protection, that’s a standard. You are probably a lot more safe and conscious of your health in this lifestyle."
Despite this though, the couple still have faced intense judgement – even from their loved ones.
“I had one friend that questioned whether we actually loved each other,” said the former beautician, adding: “But now she loves hearing our stories.”
Having shared their alternative lifestyle on social media, the couple are constantly targeted by trolls who claim their relationship isn’t ‘real’ – even though they are raising four children between them.
Now an adult content creator, Zoe says she has become used to the constant criticism, saying: “It doesn’t bother me because at the end of the day, we are happy.”
Matt echoed this saying that he’s never felt more secure in a relationship, despite multiple parties being involved.
“We hide nothing from each other, there is no need,” he told filmmakers, adding: “There’s more trust in this relationship than I had with others.”
After four years of experimenting together, the couple admit that they would struggle to have a normal relationship again.
"We have so much fun in our life,” Zoe confessed: “It’s hard to say whether we would go back to a traditional relationship. Right now, I would say no.”
We guess there is more than one way to make a relationship work – literally!
