Dave Myers’ chilling prediction about his own death as Hairy Bikers star passes away after cancer fight

DAVE Myers made a chilling prediction about his own death just months before.
The Hairy Bikers star, 66, has tragically passed away "peacefully" after his lengthy cancer fight.
TV chef Dave spent his final moments with his wife Lili, family and co-star Si King at his bedside.
Si revealed the tragic news on Thursday in a heartfelt statement - the same month their last ever TV series together aired.
He remembered his "best friend" as a "beacon in this world" as he vowed to support Dave's family.
The heartbreak comes after Dave revealed he was learning to walk again following his devastating cancer diagnosis in 2022.

The presenter briefly took some time off from the Hairy Bikers when treatment began, but was desperate to get back out on the road.
After treatment finished, Dave was able to film again - creating their new series, The Hairy Bikers Go West, and a Christmas special.
During an interview with Virgin Radio four months ago, ahead of the one-off special hitting our screens, Dave chillingly told Chris Evans he "thought I was going to be dead" before it aired.
In the interview, Chris welcomed the pair and said: "Dave, you have the Hairy Bikers Best Christmas Ever airing?"
Dave responded: "I think that’s what it’s going to be called. Yeah yeah, because it’s the Christmas that I thought I was going to be dead, I didn’t think I was going to be there for.
"We’ve filmed the food, and we’ve had a nice time, we’ve got a nice banquet to do for people who we care about.
"And we’ve filmed the series for next year. So we’ve had a good time."
Chris added: "So Dave, people may or may not know that what you said was a joke and also was not a joke…
Dave said: I was diagnosed with cancer 18 months ago.
"It's a long journey. I'm still on it but I’m doing alright. I'm back with my best mate on the motorbikes.
"We've managed to keep cooking, eating, and food so life is pretty sweet Chris, and coming here to see you.
"You don’t take stuff for granted now, we’re having such a good time."
It comes as...
- Hairy Bikers star Dave Myers has died aged 66
- Dave had been hard at work just a week ago
- The chef bravely revealed his cancer battle
- Heartbroken fans have paid tribute to Myers
Best pal Si was also part of the interview and described Dave "as hard as nails".
He added: "It’s been a difficult time for Dave and his family and for everyone who loves and cares about him but there is something about Dave Myers that is just hard as nails and he has this steel core…"
Dave added: "It’s called survival instinct. What was it that Ken Dodd said? If you wake up in the morning and your elbows don’t touch wood it’s going to be a good day."
SI KING'S STATEMENT
Si broke the news on social media this morning.
The duo's latest series together aired this month, The Hairy Bikers Go West.
Dave and Si explored the west coast of the UK shortly after Dave's cancer treatment finished.
My best friend is on a journey that for now, I can’t follow. I will miss him every day and the bond and friendship we shared over half a lifetime

Tragically, it was the last one they filmed together.
Si said: "Hi everyone, I’m afraid I bear some sad news. Most of you will know Dave has been fighting cancer for the past couple of years.
"Last night, on 28th February 2024, with Lili, Dave’s wife, his family, close friend David and myself by his side, he passed away peacefully at home.
"All who knew Dave are devastated at his passing. His beloved wife brought him such happiness as did her children, Iza and Sergiu who Dave loved like his own.
"Personally, I am not sure I can put into words on how I feel at the moment.
"My best friend is on a journey that for now, I can’t follow. I will miss him every day and the bond and friendship we shared over half a lifetime.
"I wish you god’s speed brother; you are and will remain a beacon in this world.
"See you on the other side. Love ya.
"I know Dave and his family would want me to thank all of you who sent messages of support in recent times.
"It meant the world to him, his family and all The Hairy Bikers team.
"I am sending you all much love and gratitude for those simple acts of kindness, generosity and spirit.

"We are eternally grateful for them. May I ask you all for one further kindness and allow Lili, his wife, his family, close friends and I some time and some peace to process our huge loss.
"I am sure I will see you all soon."
