Dave's family, friends and his fans have rushed to social media to pay tribute to the TV legend since his passing.

However Si, 57, had to take to Instagram to share that some cruel people have been trying to scam people out of their money with a donation page set up for Dave.

He wrote: "Hello everyone, it's come to our attention that someone has set up a fake 'Si King' profile asking for donations for Dave's family.

"This is a scam so please avoid clicking on anything or giving out any personal information!

"We are aware of the situation and are working to get it resolved."

Si revealed his sadness over Dave’s cancer struggles in the latest episode of the BBC2 series.

Hairy Biker fans were left in tears on Tuesday night after the show returned for first time since Dave's passing.

The pair filmed their Go West series while Dave was receiving treatment for the illness.

Dave was too ill to appear in one segment, which meant Si had to travel solo.

He said: “I genuinely wish my best mate was here because he would absolutely love this.

“This is what we’re all about, it’s fantastic.

“And he’s a good grower, Dave. Dave and his wife are good growers.”

Si also admitted he didn’t enjoy travelling on the open roads alone, saying: “I didn’t like riding on my own, particularly, but I’m going to take him some produce back and have a nibble.”

He added: “It’s odd without him.”

The duo found fame 30 years ago as part of the motorcycle-riding cooking duo.

The telly legend first shared that he was receiving cancer treatment for cancer in May 2022.

Confirming the heartbreaking news on Twitter last week, Si said: "Hi everyone, I'm afraid I bear some sad news.

"Most of you will know Dave has been fighting cancer for the past couple of years.

"Last night, on 28th February 2024, with Lili, Dave's wife, his family, close friend David and myself by his side, he passed away peacefully at home.

"All who knew Dave are devastated at his passing. His beloved wife brought him such happiness as did her children, Iza and Sergiu who Dave loved like his own.

"Personally, I am not sure I can put into words on how I feel at the moment. My best friend is on a journey that for now, I can't follow.

"I will miss him every day and the bond and friendship we shared over half a lifetime.
