TV composer famous for The Avengers, The Professionals and This is Your Life has died aged 96.
The veteran composer, from North London, created instrumental versions of songs used on hundreds of popular films and TV shows.
Laurie Johnson's family said he has passed away in his sleep last Tuesday - leaving a huge legacy behind.
The beloved musician worked on some of Britain's best loved television and film themes.
Some of his productions include The Avengers, The Professionals, Animal Magic, and This is Your Life.
His family said he is "leaving behind a legacy that will forever resonate in our hearts".
In a heartbreaking statement, they said: "Laurie's music touched the lives of millions around the world.
"Throughout his illustrious career, he composed numerous iconic scores, themes and soundtracks that graced our lives across film, TV, theatre and radio.
"We remember Laurie as an extraordinary individual who embraced life with passion and brought joy to so many.
"His kindness, compassion and infectious sense of fun and laughter will be profoundly missed by all that knew him."
