Prince Harry ‘feels a huge amount of guilt’ as Kate & Charles health news ‘shakes some sense’ into him, expert claims

PRINCE Harry will be feeling “a huge amount of guilt and be sick with worry” over his family’s recent health scares - and could even make a surprise trip back to the UK following the "shock" news.

The Princess of Wales, 42, is still recovering at the London Clinic following abdominal surgery last week, while the King is expected to undergo treatment for an enlarged prostate within the next few days.

According to brand expert Denise Palmer Davies, the news would have “shaken some sense” into Harry - who sparked a new row yesterday after meeting Jamaican MPs plotting to oust the monarchy - so much so he may now plan an unscheduled visit to see his family.

“I think the news that both Kate and the King have been in hospital would have come as a shock to Harry,” Denise, director of Borne Media exclusively told Fabulous.

“Kate’s procedure was clearly a serious one given the length of time she needs to recover and, at the King’s age, any hospital treatment is a concern.

“I really do think the news will have shaken some sense into Harry - it would have given him some perspective and realisation that away from all the mud-slinging, it’s family and good health that really matters.

“I would imagine Harry would be feeling a huge amount of guilt and be sick with worry. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see him make an unexpected trip to the UK within the next couple of months to check on both his father and Kate. Whether or not that will be well received, who knows.”

According to Denise, news of his relatives’ recent hospital treatments will have “brought up a lot of traumatic emotions” for the father of two.

“Harry has been through a lot of loss in his life, so I expect this would have hit him hard,” Denise said.

“He lost his mum in horrific circumstances, and recently said goodbye to his grandparents, who before all these documentaries and interviews, had a very close relationship. He has also seen a lot of harm and death during his time in Forces, and I think more than anyone, Harry knows how precious life is.

“News of Kate’s operation, and that it’s keeping her on bedrest for several weeks, coupled with his father’s condition, will have understandably brought up a lot of traumatic emotions for Harry.”

It has been reported that Harry, 39, and his wife Meghan, 42, sent get well messages to the King and Kate following news of their double health scare.

A source told the Mirror: “The King and the Princess of Wales have received support from Prince Harry and Meghan regarding their health. The Duke and Duchess contacted both parties in different ways to pass on their concern and best wishes."

Earlier this week, the prince was criticised for not publicly addressing the news at the celeb packed Living Legends of Aviation event where he was seen chatting to host John Travolta and posing for pictures with “fake royal” Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe.

But Talk TV’s royal editor Sarah Hewson told Fabulous any criticism was “unfair” and that Harry and Meghan have “done the right thing” by sending a message through private channels.

She said: “We haven't expected statements from any other members of the royal family - I think he’s damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t.

"One of the main reasons for this family rift was because the royal family felt Harry and Megan were repeatedly putting private matters into the public domain. These are medical matters, they are private, and Harry has done the right thing by dealing with them behind closed doors if that is the case. It would have been both crass and insensitive to make a statement [at the awards ceremony].

“We don't know whether they've actually had any conversations with either side, but I would really like to think this is a moment to put everything else aside. Though we've been here before after the death of the Queen, we hoped when we saw them on the long walk at Windsor that that might be the catalyst for reconciliation. I just fear the wounds run too deep. I think the King will always have his door open for his son, but for William, I think any process of reconciliation will be much, much harder because he is very deeply hurt.

“I think it’s highly likely that Harry’s going to be feeling now more than ever the distance that he's put between himself and his family, both physically and metaphorically.”
