A WOMAN has opened up about the unique situation of being pregnant with a baby that’s not biologically hers.
And while many wrongly assume that she’s a surrogate for someone else, she revealed she will be bringing up the child as her own with her partner.
TikTok power couple Caitlin and Leah have amassed a massive 9.4 million following after sharing snippets of their life on social media.
The couple, who can be found at @caitlinandleahh, welcomed a baby boy Oakley ten months ago, with Leah carrying their first child using Caitlin’s egg after going through reciprocal IVF.
Now Caitlin is expecting their second little one using Leah’s egg – this time a baby girl.
She explained: “I’m pregnant with a baby that is not biologically mine.

“I’m 22 weeks pregnant with our beautiful baby girl, and, no, I’m not a surrogate – I am actually going to be the mum to this baby.”
She went on to help clear some things up, as she detailed the “ridiculous things” that people say to her and Leah when they find out she is expecting a baby that’s not biologically hers.
The social media user hit back: “Yes, I will love this baby the exact same as I do my biological child.”
“Will the baby look like me? I will be very shocked if they do because obviously we don’t share genes, but the donor does look a bit like me so I guess there is potential.”
She then went on to explain that another ignorant question they’re asked a lot is “does your baby have a dad?”
Caitlin answered: “No, they have two mums.”
She also revealed that if their children ask how they were conceived in the future, she and Leah will tell them the truth.
She added: “We’ll tell them exactly how they were conceived and they will know everything about it.
“We will start the conversation when they are little.”
Caitlin also took the opportunity to silence cruel trolls who have said statements like “your child needs a father as well.”
She replied: “Well, I have one and he’s not been that great so I think our kids will be fine.”
After sharing the video with her followers, Caitlin received so much support with many people thanking her for speaking out.
One person wrote: “Proud of you Caitlin for showing awareness of same sex couples.
“Oakley and baby girl are so lucky to have incredibly loving and supportive parents.”
