I’m one of the top sellers on Vinted – two tips to sell items fast & your descriptions are more important than you think
A WOMAN who is one of the top sellers on Vinted has shared her advice on how to sell items fast.
So if you’re on a budget and are in need of some cash, you’ll need to pay attention.
Particularly if you’ve got a wardrobe that’s overflowing with clothes that you haven’t worn in years, it’s probably time for a clear out.
Posting on social media, a mother named Chi-Chi, explained how you can sell on Vinted successfully.
In her part one clip, she explained the types of photos you should take if you want your items to sell.
Not only this, but now, in a part-two clip of how to sell effectively on Vinted, she said: “So I’m officially one of Vinted’s top sellers apparently.”

According to Chi-Chi, your descriptions and pricing are much more important than you may think.
Firstly, Chi-Chi revealed the importance of the description of your items, as she explained: “So description - be clear as to what style I think the product is. So, most of the things I sell are clothes. So I’ll say, ‘this is a very elegant dress’, and I’ll also say how it can be styled, so ‘it’ll be perfect for a wedding guest’.
“Almost get them to imagine where they would wear this item to.
“Use very descriptive language, so ‘floral’ earrings for example.
“Talk about how good the quality is, so ‘very good quality’.
“I’ll say ‘I will give them a clean up before sending’ as well, which I did.
“I try to be as descriptive and open as possible about the product. Don’t hide.”
Not only this, but when it comes to pricing your items, Chi-Chi added: “Pricing wise I just use my common sense.
“I first of all look around at what other people are pricing, but I know the value.
“If it’s something that I don’t care about, I’ll price it relatively low and if someone gives me an offer, I’ll just accept it.
“It depends on the product, but most of the time, I always try and price it for a reasonably affordable price.
“Try and send things on time, but if you can’t send things on time, explain why.”
As well as this, Chi-Chi revealed why communication is key, as she concluded: “I’m in communication with people when they message me. I sold something last week and it was somebody getting married and I said ‘I will get it out to you, it will arrive in time’.
“So I always try to stay in communication with people when they send me messages, when they ask me questions about products.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @chisquared2, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed a staggering 116,400 views.
Social media users were grateful for the advice and many explained what they do to make money on Vinted.
One person said: “Thank you for this!”
Another added: “I accept offers.”
Whilst a third commented: “I’m open to offers.”
But if you fancy clearing out your wardrobe and getting rid of your old stuff on Vinted, there are some things you’ll need to consider.
Customers selling their second-hand goods on the app should be aware of the new tax shake-up that recently came into play.
Since January 1, digital platforms, including eBay, Airbnb, Etsy, Amazon and Vinted, must share seller information with HMRC as part of a crackdown.
You're unlikely to be affected if you only sell a handful of second-hand items online each year - but firms now have to pass on your data to HMRC if you sell 30 or more items a year or earn over £1,700.
It is part of a wider tax crackdown to help ensure that those who boost their income via side hustles pay up what they owe.

While your data won't be shared with HMRC if you earn between £1,000 and £1,700, you'll still need to pay tax as normal.
