The savvy side hustler took to social media to share her advice, as she revealed that pricing is key, as well as bumping

Brogan explained: “I've just finished work and I have come out to post some Vinted parcels.

“I've literally got like 10 to post which is amazing.

Vinted is quickly becoming the only money that I put in my wedding savings.

“I feel like I'm really starting to get the hang of Vinted. People keep coming on my TikTok you know, giving me tips and wow, it is really helped, so I thought I’d just let you know, just in case anyone else is wanting to sell things on Vinted.”

Firstly, Brogan explained that if you want to make cash on Vinted, you should price things high, as she said: “So number one, this is really obvious, but price everything higher than you want.

“Everybody on Vinted loves a bargain, so for example, if you want to sell it for £10, put it up for £15, because people will offer you less and if you sell it for more that's a bonus.”

Not only this, but she swore by ‘bumping’ items, which is a paid feature you can use which increases your chances of selling.

She added: “Number two which has helped me a lot recently is bumping. So I know that it's like a quid to bump something, but on eBay and other places like that, they take percentage off, whereas Vinted don’t.

“So if you allow for that £1, it helps so much. So I bump it for three days usually and if it doesn’t sell on the last day, I price it down and then the people that favourited it over the past couple of days, usually buy it.”

Brogan also explained that having regular clear outs is key, as she continued: “My [next] tip, which isn't really a tip but it's something that I've done and I feel so much better about myself. Every two/three months, go through your wardrobe and if you've not worn it in the last year, get rid.

“The amount of clothes that people buy nowadays, they’re just gonna buy new things.

“I've literally had things sat in my wardrobe for like four years. Some with labels, some not with labels, but I'm like, ‘I'm gonna wear that, I'm gonna wear that’. I never wear it. Honestly, get rid.”

Finally, if you really want to sell your items, she explained that bumping your wardrobe will help.

She concluded: “Last tip, if you are going to bump your wardrobe, you can do that. I think it's £6.95. I usually do that once a month and do it around payday.

“Do it a few days before payday because you get loads of people wanting to buy stuff.

“All these things have changed the way that I sell things on Vinted.

“I'm selling like £300-£500 worth a month, which is amazing.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @brogansutcliffeee, has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed 73,300 views.

But if you fancy clearing out your wardrobe and getting rid of your old stuff on Vinted, there are some things you’ll need to know.

Customers selling their second-hand goods on the app should be aware of the new tax shake-up.

Since January 1, digital platforms, including eBay, Airbnb, Etsy, Amazon and Vinted, must share seller information with HMRC as part of a crackdown.

You'll only be affected if you sell a certain number of items or earn over a certain amount across one financial year.

Firms now have to pass on your data to HMRC if you sell 30 or more items a year or earn over £1,700.

It is part of a wider tax crackdown to help ensure that those who boost their income via side hustles pay up what they owe.

While your data won't be shared with HMRC if you earn between £1,000 and £1,700, you'll still need to pay tax as normal.

However, you're unlikely to be affected if you only sell a handful of second-hand items online each year.
