I made £2,000 selling old clothes on Vinted after I used cardboard cut out of TV legend to model them
A MUM has made £2,000 selling her old clothes by modelling them on a cardboard cut-out of TV’s Sir David Attenborough.
Laura Parks, 29, listed items that she no longer wore on the resale site Vinted.
And to put a smile on her buyers’ faces, she ordered the cut-out of the 97-year-old presenter.
Laura said: “I wanted to clear out my wardrobe but didn’t want to send everything to landfill so I decided to resell them.
“I needed something to hang the clothes on to display them properly, so I thought why not use the king of sustainability, David Attenborough?
“I wasn’t expecting such a reaction but suddenly I was being bombarded by people buying my clothes.

“I think his best look is probably one of my sequinned dresses, but he can pull anything off and looks just as good in athleisure wear.”
The 5ft 7in cut-out, which cost £35, has his own room in mum-of-one Laura and partner Charlie’s home in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear.
She also has a mini-version for her son’s old baby clothes.
Laura, who works in online car sales, said: “He’s part of the family and we all say good morning to him.”
Boyfriend Charlie, 29, said: “I’m used to sharing a house with David Attenborough.”
